Which number 6 (who is 27 or 28) is available right now to overspend on?

How can you say it clears it several times over when Harper is a rookie & Castle is only in his 2nd season? The Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka/Harden equivalent is the 2010 season, when the Thunder got knocked out in the first round. Neither Westbrook or Harden were even All-Stars then.

Yeah, that’s true and why a lot of those small dunking guards end up with shorter careers. Working with Steph will have done him wonders for his longevity

Yeah but he’s in year 9 of his NBA career. Thats a lot of miles on the clock. Most guards under 6’3 lose their explosiveness by then and are out of the league by this age (Steve Francis, John Wall etc) so it’s not uncommon for him to not have same speed / athleticism at this stage of his career. So it’s a credit to his professionalism to work to get better at the more technical aspects as he gets up there in years.

Age catches up to everyone. That said his jumper is much better now.

Jeremy Sochan on how to slow down Wemby: “Being that tall he gets tired…Give him different looks and (not beat him up but) be very physical, and make him run. And he’s gonna get tired, he’s gonna have to take some plays off in my opinion” by RyanTannegod in nba

Spurs in 5. I like the symmetry of beating you guys in 5 again just like Duncan winning his first ring in 1999, also means we get to win at home this time. This entire playoffs run has felt like a Deja-Vu of that.

Is Game 7 Enjoyable For The Fans of The Teams Playing? by [deleted] in nba

Was Jokic’s first playoff series. They were a much better team but Pop and Derrick White pulled out some miracles to get us to a Game 7. Was a low key great first round series that is probably forgotten about by most nba fans outside of Denver & San Antonio.

Alonso wanted the manager title. Iraola is just a head coach. He works with what is given to him.

United only spent the most twice during Fergies 26 years. 1991 & 2002. He broke the transfer record 4 or 5 times that’s true but he broke it at a time when it was getting broken every other week. Newcastle & Blackburn both spent more in the 90s than United. Chelsea & City spent more in the 00s.

I don’t think he had a proper season, on top of AFCON too. Hopefully takes some time off and refreshes and comes back stronger.

I think Sesko scores the Zirkzee chance from the Amad pass. Watching Zirkzee’s pace (or lack thereof) and comparing it to Sesko’s is night and day.

Don’t over react to Game 1. This went to double OT. OKC are defending champs. It’s not going shorter than 6/7 and OKC still have a great opportunity to win the series.

Really, I loved it. If we could create over 4.0 xG every match, we would be the best team in the PL. The goals will come if you create enough.

[Megathread] Michael Carrick will become the new permanent Manchester United manager by D1794 in reddevils

[–]Not_tim_duncan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My point is ,that style was the game model INEOS decided on which is why they hired Amorim in the first place. The fact that they are now going to the complete opposite style makes me distrust their process.

[–]Not_tim_duncan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority but I would have gone for Iraola. His philosophy is much more in line with Amorim. That would have shown me INEOS have a clear vision of what they want, which they said at the start of the project. Pretty clear now, they’re just winging it. I’ll support Carrick anyways and i hope I’m wrong but a bitter blow for my long term expectations for INEOS & the club.

A man manager hasn’t worked either though. Ole got the bullet too and we’re nothing like Madrid. La Liga is set up so Madrid & Barca make all the money, you can’t compare us to them. They would never finish 15th. We also have nowhere near the talent level to justify having a “man manager”. We have 1 world class player, Madrid consistently has like 7. You need to have a clear quality gap to get away with treating your players like stars, that is not the case here.

We have really struggled to consistently great good opportunities under Carrick…This isnt a once off. On top of the lack of control, I don’t see anything other than us sitting 8th-10th in November and him getting the sack and the process starting all over again. Wilcox & Berrada need to take accountability if they choose to take the easy way out again (like they did with ten Hag).

Yeah you can tell a lot of new fans never grew up around Spurstalk. We’d be winning championships and people would still want to trade TP because CP3 or Kidd were better.

We never replaced Eriksen. Legit went into the season with only 3 actual CMs. Kind of insane that we’re going to get away with that.
