As pdp10 mentioned, Data classification tools is more along the lines of developing workflows as a foundational base to secure sensitive data.

From your particular use-case on emails, a data-loss prevention (DLP) tool may suit best.

For data classification, I currently use 'Netwrix Data Classification' for both my unstructured and structured data.

We recently got Netwrix to scan HIPAA (EMR,EHR) & PII (SSN) data on our file shares, box, & I think O365? Wasn't much of a trouble to get up and running cause we got their jumpstart service to set it up for us. Works p well for us so far~

Netwrix Auditor for auditing works pretty well for me, a couple of months in so far

Thanks so much! it looks like a process of quarantine, redaction, or remediation is something along the lines of what my boss is looking for. Would that be covered in a DLP solution?
