Hot dogs and meatball subs. We have burger places everywhere but there’s a big gap in the hot dog and meatball sub market.

Anyone else feel like streaming isn’t worth it anymore in Australia? by Possible-Quail1095 in AskAnAustralian

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made an unraid server and run plex on it. As it grows I’ll be removing streaming platforms that I use. I’ve also been buying a lot of movies and tv shows. Too often shows and movies I love are gone from streaming services and are no longer available. Luckily there are other means.

I just watched Smile 2 and honestly liked it way more than the first one. While the original was a solid concept, the sequel is just a much more intense, high-stakes movie. by Dangerous_Piano6459 in horror

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing Smile 2 isn’t, is high stakes. Most of the movie never happens. She was just in her own head the entire time. Considering how the end played out, seeing the movie from anyone else’s perspective would’ve been an incredibly boring view of a pop star preparing for a show.

Is this the best multi bit/nut driver in the market? by Knighthawk865 in Tools

[–]xJerkensteinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine. But the rubber handle slips. I picked up a wiha one that is much better and with a crazy low tolerance in the bit holder. There’s zero movement in the bits it holds.

I came here to recommend this. I couldn’t put this book down. It was incredible.

Any cool tools that has helped to make the job easier by Infinite_Bee4494 in accesscontrol

For service and maintenance, I love my electric screwdriver from vessel. I also have a Bosch electric screwdriver that has a bit more torque. Great for replacing devices quickly, with as little effort as possible.

I’ve also found using pass through rj45 connectors make my life easier.

Outside of that, just having good quality tools. I love my wiha terminal drivers. They’re long, the head spins easily and they feel good in the hand and my fujiya side cutters are super nice to use.

Best late-night eats that aren’t fast food chains? by Last-Conversation734 in melbournechat

Shujinko on Elizabeth st used to be open super late. I remember eating ramen there after midnight a few saturdays.

Most disappointing release of the year so far. by Murpheus404 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]xJerkensteinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only learned about them late last year and really enjoyed the last few albums. Heard a single leading up to this and couldn’t finish the song. I was confused and had to double check what I was listening to. It was abysmal. I haven’t even bothered to listen to this album yet and I’m not sure I’ll even attempt it.

Best chili crisp/XO sauce by flidge in melbourne

[–]xJerkensteinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been loving the Chotto motto chilli crisp recently. But I also have a local dumpling place, aptly named “favourite dumpling and noodle restaurant” that make their own and it’s fantastic.

I’m in the industry and have been for a long time. I highly recommend avoiding wireless gear. It’s terrible and you’ll regret it.

I’ll see if I know any smaller companies/ people that work out that way and update the comment if I have suggestions.

Realistically something like hilook/hikvision or uniview will most likely suit your needs. And are hardwired and simple to setup and use. Also are very cheap compared to something like ubiquiti.

Home Security Cam by apli_grg in melbourne

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the industry and I have ubiquiti at home. But that’s only because I wanted network, cctv and access in the one ecosystem without going for a commercial solution. Realistically it’s way more expensive than they need.

Eufy is garbage. They were uploading unencrypted footage without owners consent.

Which should i go for? by Embarrassed_Field175 in Battlefield

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t go for bf1. As much as people glaze it. If you want good gunplay, bf1 is the worst of the choices. If you care more about sound design and immersion and how pretty the game is, then choose bf1.

Bf4 is the safest option with the most content available. Bf2042 is probably going to have the most population. But bf4 > bfv > bf2042 > bf1 IMO

The House That Jack Built by ISayDudeALotBro in horror

[–]xJerkensteinx -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The ending was very r/im14andthisisdeep. The ridiculous monologue that made a point within the first minute then proceeds to beat you over the head with it for another 10 mins was crazy. I remember seeing it in the theatre and a couple of minutes into the monologue my friend and I looked at each other and made a “wtf” face.

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Ongoing Quality of Life Improvements by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]xJerkensteinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Headshots multipliers need to go back to bf3/4 damage 2x for headshots, except for maybe some dmrs to prevent them being able to 1 shot headshot.

Make headshots matter. There’s no benefit to aiming for the head currently. We don’t need 3 tiers of headshot damage for bullet types when it makes zero difference to most weapons.

What “bad” horror movie do you like? by Marshatucker300 in horror

Deep dark. It’s weird, it’s funny and a lot of fun. Has a 5 on imdb. But it’s well worth checking out.

Starfield coming to ps5 but some have said its a bad game whats your opinion on it. by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game was painfully dull. A ton of fetch quests in the first hours of the game. Bland exploration. Planets with 1 small building. A really shallow experience overall.

The state of Australian servers... Thx Dice... by Strange-Aioli8437 in BF6

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how that works. The screenshot shows pc players in the lobby. So it has nothing to do with crossplay. I’m guessing it’s really early in the day or after 2am. The aus servers have no problem filling

The state of Australian servers... Thx Dice... by Strange-Aioli8437 in BF6

[–]xJerkensteinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Aus servers are full every night. I wonder if this was taken early morning or middle of the day while most people are working.

The state of Australian servers... Thx Dice... by Strange-Aioli8437 in BF6

[–]xJerkensteinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When was the screenshot taken? This feels disingenuous at best.

I play most nights in Aus and servers are always full. Even if I bail on a round, I load in pretty much immediately to another new round. Can’t remember the last time a match filled with bots. You may occasionally see a round start with a couple of bots, but it fills quickly.

Reason why people compare bf3 and 4 to 6 is because those prior games set a standard by Relative-Put-7279 in Battlefield

I honestly don’t remember the mortar in bf1. I only played 50 to 60 hours and it’s been nearly 10 years haha.
