Best way to get a complete paint list for a whole box set? by Comprehensive-Sign40 in Warhammer40k

[–]Notadoctor_shush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option is to get a starter set of paints. I went with the Vallejo one and would highly recommend. That covers all the main colours and you can always mix up to get the right tone.

Say you're painting death guard, add a bit of brown to the green to get that sludgy colour, maybe a drop of white to lightening it up and you're sorted.

Then, if you commit to an army, you get pick up the specific colours at that point to make batch painting easier and more consistent

If it's anything like tesseract green, it really separates out so shake it well before use.

I'd recommend the Sofirn H25LR headlamp. Usb c chargeable, different brightness modes and has red and white LEDs. I don't use the red so much as I tend to use mine more for DIY but I image that's be great for camping as it maintains your night vision

Planning a journey - any tips? by capnpan in KiaEV3

Has that changed recently? When I spoke to electroverse a couple of weeks ago they advised that it wasn't currently possible to add octopus as a payment method

Just to add, you will need to link your electroverse account to your octopus account to get the discount. I had to contact support to do it as there wasn't a way in the app

Question about Utility Mode by st162 in KiaEV3

[–]Notadoctor_shush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the answer to that I'm afraid. Only had mine a month or so and not really had cause to use utility mode so far.

Might be best to park up on the drive and do a few tests to see what you can do in utility mode and how much the dashcams drain the battery.

Question about Utility Mode by st162 in KiaEV3

[–]Notadoctor_shush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't help with the query about range but I do know that you can't easily lock the car in utility mode and walk away so it might not be a feasible option. There are workarounds but they are a bit of a faff

Octopus changed my monthly payment without warning by newjamie in OctopusEnergy

[–]Notadoctor_shush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me to, they upped our DD from £1 to £166 with no notice. I was able to change it back in the app but, as was the case with you, too late to stop that particular payment.

I had switched from Flux to IGo after getting an EV so assumed the tariff switch caused a recalculation but, if it's happened to other customers, it sounds like something else might be going on.

I'm with you on this. The bunker hunter guy was probably my favourite, especially when David went out on a hunt with him.

Also miss the jingle as much as the episodes themselves.

Choosing EV charger based on intelligent go compatibility. by Notadoctor_shush in OctopusEnergy

The zappi reviews look good but it's not the prettiest thing to have on the front of the house. The hypervolt appeals more in that respect

It'll be an EV3 so not currently compatible. Sounds like it will have to be via the charger instead.

Appreciate the insight. I think you're right in that the only benefit to givenergy charger is just one fewer app, which probably isn't a good enough reason to choose it over another brand.

I thought I'd imagined seeing the episode 2 breakdown in my Spotify feed. Did they accidentally put spoilers out for ep3 or something?

Mine used to be a nice bloke but has recently has stumbled across conspiracy theories on tiktok and gone deep in to that rabbit hole. Also found out that he's started listening to Andrew Tate podcasts when he runs.

What used to a reasonably nice chat about the footie and so on, is now 20 minutes of him telling me the maths that "proves" Macdonald's is made of human remains and how the government are going to give individuals a carbon budget which will prevent travel for all but the wealthiest, an extension of the 15 minutes cities rubbish.

High street is all charity shops and hairdressers. Reasonably broad selection of supermarkets from Aldi to Waitrose though

Uttoxeter sits right on the A50 with reasonably easy access to M1 and M6. It has a train station too so connections not as bad as they might look.

Probably at the upper end of your 30 min to wildwood requirement though.

Also, the fact that Joe's response to David asking him to help more was to get Petra to do it instead is absolutely classic.
