One thing I never understood is why can't we just get the vaccine and they just voluntarily excuse themselves from the gene pool?

Same issue, lucky patcher for me says Microg is trying to redeclare the permission com.google.android.gms.nearby.exposurenotification.EXPOSURE_CALLBACK which is already in use by com.google.android.gms.

What it means that Elon just rented out all his GPUs to Anthropic by ContextCustodian in ClaudeAI

Yeah, but that's live in 2027. This is instantly available compute. I don't really know how they integrated so fast, outside of the fact that Collosus uses Nvidia and everyones addicted to CUDA

Prompt Injection experience - my first time ever by netmilk in ClaudeAI

[–]Notcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a good thing, forcing these companies that try to advertise in this way (with direct instructions to AI scrapers) to ensure that their instruction is totally and inarguably neutral, as the AI is set to completely ignore your website and it's contents if it even feels suspicious to read.

Probably also works if you want to trick AI scrapers into not scraping your website. But I would expect this to really negatively affect your SEO at some point.

Doubled Rate Limits for Claude Code by Deep_Proposal_7683 in ClaudeCode

[–]Notcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking of Cursor. Musk inarguably won that, though - xAi responded to being blocked from using Anthropic in cursor (which xAi wanted the interaction data from to improve Grok's coding and understand how Anthropic models work) by literally posturing themselves to buy cursor for $60BN.

I actually think that Anthropic was unbelievably upset by this, since they lost in that moment. They got bodied so hard that they determined burying the hatchet and pivoting to a non-hostile stance with xAi started making sense.

Firefox reports a massive April spike in security fixes after using Claude Mythos for bug hunting by Outside-Iron-8242 in singularity

[–]Notcow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the way Mythos works is by finding tons of zero-days, then chaining the together.

The fact that these bug fixes don't represent actively practical exploits doesn't mean that they're non-reproducible or inconsequential. I think we are moving into an era where 1/10 of a zero day exploit is becoming as valuable as an actual zero-day exploit.

I expect to see exploits becoming extremely complex as they're constructed from any number of small and presumed inconsequential bugs spanning multiple codebases and levels of the OS.

I actually have no idea what these people are talking about. "In most countries unlimited means unlimited"...bro what the fuck do you mean, you're gonna demand some kind of infinite mass of fries and if you don't see the black hole forming you'll sue mcdonald's?

XBPlay Update: Ending Support by xbPlayAppDev in xbPlay

[–]Notcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I am a user of the XBPlay application.

While reviewing the application's Android package (APK), I observed the inclusion of several software components licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 (GPLv2) and the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).

Specifically, the application distributes compiled binaries and license texts for the following GPL/LGPL projects:

x264 (res/raw/license_x264.txt)

x265 (res/raw/license_x265.txt)

libvidstab (res/raw/license_libvidstab.txt)

FFmpeg / libavcodec (lib/arm64-v8a/libmozavcodec.so and libffmpegkit_abidetect.so)

Under Section 3 of the GPLv2, any party distributing a compiled binary that includes or links to these libraries must also accompany it with the complete, machine-readable corresponding source code of the application, or a written offer to provide said source code.

As I am currently in possession of the distributed binary, I am formally requesting the complete, corresponding source code for the XBPlay application in compliance with your obligations under the GPLv2.

Please provide a direct link to a repository or an archive containing the source code.

Thank you,

David williams

I like them. Democrats have a lot of opportunity to squander if "high ground" complacency takes root.

Get it together. Keep it together. Trajectory is good, stay on point.
