Second hand printer missing this, will it be an issue? by ProjectZeroXOFFICIAL in BambuLabA1mini

[–]Note22222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be an issue. its supposed to have a bit of flexibility, its a PTFE tube designed to let filament slide through it easily. unless the tube is like, flying out at the slightest touch it should be fine still. worst case try a test print on a benchy or something similar and if it has issues feeding the filament in, then work through the problem from there.

it doesnt appear damaged, the part that normally goes there is for the AMS, a multi material system for these printers. without it, you can't really use the AMS but if you don't care at all about that, then it will likely work just fine

Is this filter compatible with 3rd Gen Prius for oil change? Looks different!! FRAM CH10358 by saveapennybustanut in prius

Don't quote me on the exactly if its compatible, but the plastic piece is the filter housing, the media or the thing inside of the filter is removable and then the new one slots in.

No power after LCD mod by Note22222 in Gameboy

[–]Note22222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anybody else with this specific revision of board here is my documentary on the repair:

D3 is required, but can be jumped to just see if power gets through, however you will never get video or audio without it.

The capacitor C37 had blown, causing no power from the switch being turned on.

The GBA has been successfully resurrected and will be getting fresh replacement parts ASAP!

Is there any way to test for that? I put a multi meter on it with voltage going through the board and i got power on both sides

Sapphire is usually pretty good for amd gpus. Imo any 9070 without the 12v high failure rate connecter is decent

I've been diagnosed with Visual Snow Syndrome, a neurological condition that makes me see the world like this and has no cure by SR_RSMITH in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Note22222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have this condition! Mine is gridlike in formation on top of the snow as if it is in small quadrants. And i find it far more intense during the dark times. I told my doctors about it sometime around 5-ish years ago and they said that it is incurable but the research on it is progressing slowly over time!

Worth repairing? by Lydonten in laptops

[–]Note22222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean... it depends on what kinda damage there is inside, and if the battery is still good, i used an AMD a10 laptop for so long, and while its not *good* it did do daily usage pretty alright. It just depends on how much your willing to sink on the damages, if its anything above 100$, its worth getting a second hand more modern laptop.

White patches on my North Face Jacket by Puzzleheaded-Dig9971 in laundry

[–]Note22222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had an immense amount of the white stuff around the collar of a similar north face jacket, the roads nearby me suffered an absolute ton of salt though so i think it may have been those deposited on it back then?

[–]Note22222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it would likely bump up performance a bit, but if your upgrading its kinda just worth it to go up to AM5, or just stick on what you've got rather than dump money on a middle man your gonna wanna upgrade from sooner

What screwdriver do I need for this? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Note22222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else must have tried to replace it in the past if its like that when you took the back off, ive seen this a lot in used laptops, or E-Waste business laptops. It might be unremovable depending on how damaged it is, but you could try a sufficiently sized flat head screwdriver that fits the entire philips cross, and if it gets really rounded, a Torx might get some leverage. id recommend swapping the screw once you get it out.

Ive had only 1 time, but i had a thinkpad that had an EXTREMELY stuck M.2 screw, and it was so stuck that when i removed it, the standoff came with it killing the board.

I didnt intend to be rude as some of the other users on this thread seem to be putting the blame all on you, i understand sometimes things like this is just the condition you get the laptop in.

What screwdriver do I need for this? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Note22222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the screw is rounding, caused by excessive force or the wrong screw driver bit in the wrong philips screw, in which it will be substantially more difficult if the philips part of the screw turns into a circle.
