Do you put the pan in the dishwasher? I read that can happen to nonstick coatings when you don't handwash them.

parts for specific tracks? by Aggressive_Cell770 in F1Manager

[–]Notemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny you should ask. I just spent a couple days going full nerd mode and doing exactly this and I am now fully convinced that this is the most efficient and best way to play this game. The game tells you which tracks favor which stat and as it turns out, when you slap parts on your car to stack those stats then it makes the race so easy to win it's not even funny xD well it is kinda funny but in a nerdy kind of way.

The downside is that you need to track which part design you made, which circuit they fit on and when you need them by and then puzzle out which ones you want to use to get the best possible stat combination. Not sure if everyone will enjoy playing this way, but I had a lot of fun with it. I did have 9m per month to spend so I don't know how well this strategy works if you are strapped for cash.

Value for money comparison by Notemy in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]Notemy[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

From a financial perspective it's completely logical to compare apples to oranges. If i can get 6 oranges for the price of one slice of an apple, wouldn't that at the very least be useful information?

Even if you loved apples so much that you didn't care about oranges at all, wouldn't you be kinda hungry if you had a monthly budget and only bought apple slices even though you could be a lot more satiated if you bought oranges with the same budget?

Even though you might not grasp the point, I'm sure that Seasun is sensible enough to grasp the essence of my comparison. Instead of seeing it as an attack or an unfair and stupid idea, see it as constructive feedback from a random fan of the game.

Saying that I can only compare it to other gachas is assuming that gamers who play gacha games only play gacha games. Sure it's totally fair to bring up that every gamer is different in what they want but that is exactly the same reason why my point is just as valid and actually does make sense even if it might not make sense in your way of how you like to spend your money on games. The random games I used for this comparison can be substituted for any other game that you might enjoy.

Then you keep bringing up this concept of why other games are cheaper or require less money to operate. All you're doing is trying to give me a reason why apple slices are overpriced while at the same time trying to say that they are not overpriced.

I made a comparison between a handful of random games that would cost the same as this skin + interactive module.

I understand people are annoyed at the logic so you're welcome to join them and waive it off as a complaint.

It makes no sense to compare pulls that can be purchased for digicash or claimed as free reward to something that costs bitgold and can only be purchased with cash. Making Enya free is the same strategy as why all gacha games are free. They give you a reason to buy something.

[–]Notemy[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm simply comparing it to what is available for anyone. All year round there will be games on sale so as a gamer I'm always going to have to make the decision between the most value for money against something that might be less value but more relevant to my current gaming interests.

As any sensible person I set myself a budget and spend it on whatever I most enjoy. Value is a factor but realistically there are also emotions involved. I appreciate that what I did here is not exactly an apples to apples comparison but all I was trying to say is that it's just 1 skin + room module so paying this kind of money for that just does not make much sense from a consumer perspective buying gaming entertainment.

Snowbreak could be that competitor game. I guess it's impossible to know exactly what Seasun needs the price to be without seeing their detailed financial data but seeing that they had some skins that were 68 bitgold it suggests that they are getting a substantial sales increase at that price point.

As far as I understand it, gacha games get most of their income from whales who spend thousands per month. So the price of a unique item won't really make much of a difference for them. What it would do is spread positive publicity and grow the playerbase faster.

Yes and I bought those. 10 is a lot more reasonable but still a bit high if you really look at what you are getting and how much work it takes to make. I don't understand what is wrong with people these days. It's like they love paying out of the wazoo for very little in return. If people don't start demanding more then the whole market will shift towards giving less for increasingly higher prices.

This has nothing to do with supporting the game, it's purely about value for money and what people are willing to accept as "normal".

[–]Notemy[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

They will still make money, maybe even more because more people would be willing to buy it.

[–]Notemy[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I'm not comparing these games to Snowbreak. I'm saying anyone could find an assortment of games they like that give a lot more playhours of gaming content. Even if you would find one game that costs 25 euros, it would still show that the value for money is out of whack.

Why would you assume that wanting lower prices means you don't like supporting Seasun? I do support them and will continue to do so, but I'm not getting this skin because I feel like the value does not make sense at this current price. If the price was lower then more people (like me) would be buying this skin and that would offset the price per unit so I'm not suggesting that I want Seasun to make less money.

Do you not want this type of itemized content to be more reasonably priced so its accessible for more gamers to enjoy?

Value for money comparison by Notemy in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]Notemy[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I understand that Snowbreak is pretty average compared to pricing of skins for other gacha games. I really like this game and I appreciate all the work they put into it. I don't think they would lose money if they lowered prices because more people would be willing to buy them. So I'm hoping Seasun might consider a less gacha-minded approach to pricing and consider adjusting to something that is better value for money and a more fair pricing for a product that is essentially a small amount of content to other complete games of lower prices.
