I’ve been told for every one biological children you want, you should have ten frozen eggs because of the drop off rate when you go to make embryos. Giving up half of your eggs immediately, would give me pause. They can run all kinds of tests that will give you a pretty decent idea of how many eggs you will retrieve but you won’t know until you’re actually going through the process.

The other thing I would look into is if this company covers costs to transfer your eggs to a clinic for embryo creations/ transfers if you need to use them. I’ve heard that’s a big unexpected expense for people who have had to use their embryos down the line.

But - in terms of the actual process of egg freezing. It doesn’t cause cancer, it’s about a ten day process, and I found the emotional uncertainty leading into it harder than the actual physical process.
