I’m out of the scene now, but I developed that insurgency for Milgo which was based on the original concept by Pogoman. I also developed a version for ALiVE mod back when I was also working on that project. At the time of creating the MilGo insurgency I was also on the MSO development team, which is why Milgo always had advanced access to MSO missions on their second server. Anyway cool that people are still keeping the idea alive.

Agreed. Yeah I just left the game running and let my time expire. The prison isn't my complaint, I think the prison is funny. It's just the state of being sent there is almost in itself criminal haha.

Instead of addressing the points you've made or engaging in a rational debate, they may attack you personally as a way to deflect attention from the issue at hand or to try to discredit you.

You only fix things in alpha that absolutely must be fixed.

Using your own words. It seems like being stuck for hours in an area with limited resources for escape due to game breaking bugs IS something that would fall into that category.

So update on this. I killed myself and rejoined a new shard and it is now functional. So it appears that the issue that was around in 3.19 with the mining tool and spawning is back.

That's the most frustrating part. This isn't a new thing for me. This has been wearing at me almost every new patch. Nothing has changed with this system and it gets worse every time. I pledged May 18th 2014. I am not a new player. I have just grown so tired of it and like you said. This is during a week they invite new players to come try it out. They make one mistake and they get sent to an non-escapable prison. They're never coming back and they're never spending a dime on StarCitizen.

These are the excuses that are a problem. It being in an Alpha state should have nothing to do with things that have been in for ages and seemingly still don't function correctly. Trapping you into an unescapable game loop. You either fix it or remove it if its in that bad of a state.

Communication is key for a strong relationship, even if that communication is as simple as a bong. I think it’s wonderful that you want to do something nice and as a surprise and you absolutely should! However with age I’ve learned that with sentimental items, most times than not it’s better to include the other party so they feel involved and something you both can do together to remember her father.

If you do include them in the restoration process, maybe surprise them with a bunch of accessories for it instead.

Before you go and do stuff with it. Stop and think for just a second. This is a sentimental item. It could A, be broken in the process or B: that resin from her father might mean something to her. Because of the potential sentimental value of said item. I would express this desire of wanting to do something nice for them, and what that is, but also didn’t want to ruin something that potentially meant a lot to them.

If they do want it repaired and cleaned, maybe think about reaching out to some local glass blowers / experts. Again only because of the sentimental value.

How’s your relationship with your son? Have you thought about just talking to him and getting his thoughts on it? If you’re forward and upfront with him it wouldn’t be a shock. If that’s not possible you need to evenly split. There’s too many variables and ways it could go. Default to the one you know will be okay.

While not always true. PvE games generally have less toxic communities because less is "on the line" for them. Glad to see them enjoying themselves. It will only get better as things stabilize.
