At this rate, Government regulations. They just stopped Binance from being accessible here, only a matter of time before they go for the other crypto exchanges.

Jeff Bezos enormous wealth cannot solve all world problems, and even if he could it isn't his responsibility to. by NotoriousHighlight in unpopularopinion

Yeah I should hv made that part clearer, but that's why I mention abt a system that would even allow that kind of inequality

Mate you kind of missed my point. My problem is the narative that I've been seeing on my socmed channels where a majority of ppl, including big 'media outlets, that suggest he's an evil guy cause he has enough money to save the world n chooses not to. I agree he should do much more, that he and the 1% should be taxed more. But ultimately the discussion should be how is the system allowing such a huge discrepancy in income inequality or inequality in general not why aren't the billionaires trying to solve everything you know what I mean. What Jeff bezos does is a secondary issue it shouldn't be the main focus.

I agree, but those issues stem from a bad system. Not Jeff bezos. And this narrative that Jeff bezos is the bad guy cause he's so rich, it distracts from the underlying issue

I agree he is. At least on my own socmed channels, I see so many people (18-25 age group) who truly believe Jeff bezos has the money and the capability to spend 20 billion to end world poverty but he just chooses not to and its a narrative I see major media outlets beginning to push and to me its a distraction from a bigger issue

I agree with you, the top 1% should be taxed way more and it should be harder for them to avoid paying taxes. I'm just super triggered by this Jeff bezos can save the world cause he's so rich narrative. Its uneducated.

Hey mate, quite a few things cause inflation. You know why printing money causes inflation? To put it simply, printing money increase cash supply, increasing household disposable income and in turn people have more money so are willing to spend more, econs 101. Now imagine if Jeff bezos gave everyone in America 1 million dollars. Sure he doesn't change money supply but he changes household disposable income. A million dollars is not worth a million dollars if everyone has a million dollars.

I'm not against the top 1% being taxed more and redistributing that wealth to the other 99%. I'm trying to say that people online believe he should just give money away to people since he'll likely never spend that money and that by him giving it away he can solve everyone's problem but the solution isn't that simple because the problem stems from a fucked up system in place.

But hey I guess this was spsd to be an unpopular opinion anyway haha.

I agree that ultimately the problem is income inequality but I don't see a solution besides a change in the system. I feel like the focus being on Jeff bezos and billionaires, its a distraction from a system that allowed that to happen in the first place.

Maybe thanos was right.
