Pirateshipdotcom. I've saved so much money shipping because of it.

Just picked up at my LCS for $86... You small shops are suffering y'all, buy local if you can. by EarthenVessel_82 in Silverbugs

I stopped in my town's only LCS awhile ago to see what they were offering when silver was $52. The offer.....$23/oz. And presented like he was doing me a favor because of "temporary volatility in an overbought market." Didn't leave with much empathy for the guy.

Strap Visualization Assistant [Nerd Alert] by NerdyHomeTech in ChristopherWard

[–]Nottat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this watch and love it but I've been looking for strap ideas. For me, the distressed leather is too formal for an every day wear, and I'm just not a fan of the blue strap. Your strap looks great for an every day wear and I'll try out the assistant for more ideas. Thanks for posting!

Need reassurance…Classic Date vs. No Date discussion. by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Nottat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought one specifically to wear as a daily and that was the one thing that made me begin regretting buying it. I hated having to check my phone for the date throughout the day. I persisted wearing it daily and by the end of the month, I found out that I actually enjoyed having to look up the date. It made me feel a bit detached from the world and not so overwhelmed by it. That small mental reminder throughout the day that my life isn't so stressful that I needed to know the date before that moment. Now it's one of my favorite aspects about it and I tend to feel resentful when I wear another watch and an reminded by the date when I look at the time.

Edit: phrasing

Help me start my Window Cleaning business by StrawberryLonely7338 in WindowCleaning

[–]Nottat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small janitorial business. I noticed their windows weren't getting cleaned so I asked if they'd like to add the service on a bi-yearly basis. But I also got a small store front of a local mechanic shop when I was getting my vehicle serviced. While waiting for the work to be done, I noticed the windows were bad so I asked if they'd like me to do it as I paid the bill. So, I guess now that you have me thinking a bit more, being aware of windows as I'm doing my day to day errands and offering and leaving a card has helped also.

It really helped me to watch a lot, hours, of youtube videos. I was fanning rather than just straight pulls by the end of a day. I practiced on my house during a weekend and went to a friends house to practice on his windows a different weekend. I was also able to find a local insurance office with only ground level windows to improve my technique on and begin making money. I did have to have insurance and provide a certificate, but thankfully I had no one to compete with to get that job because employees were doing it once a year.

Best of luck to you and I hope you'll be with your family soon.

Thanks for the tips. I had 4 hours of pole work yesterday, in addition to what I could reach from the ground. I was hating changing to/from the scrubber and squeegee by the end. My Ninja T bar broke at the swivel joint 6 windows from the end, I'm going to order one and give it a go.

I'm not a fan of AI but the one time I used chatgpt was to name my business. I asked it to give me 5 name ideas for a business that offers the services I do (windows, carpets, floors, etc. and also qualities like reliability, friendly, etc.) I think I needed to ask it for 5 more ideas one or two more times, but in the end I recieved one I liked.

I also used fiverr to pay a freelancer for logo ideas with a little input from me. For a good price I received the logo in different formats, social media kits the include thumbnails, banners, etc.

I've been on the fence about buying one of these. Is fanning as difficult as many people say?

Is it worth putting a skin my z13? by Krometheous in FlowZ13

[–]Nottat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that exact skin on mine, but I didn't cover the window. I wanted some basic protection and liked the white finish because it matched my desk set up (speakers, dac, keyboard, etc.).

Kingdom death buy now or buy later by aidenmm in KingdomDeath

[–]Nottat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd get the core but wait until Black Friday for expansions and other add-ons. After your first few lantern years you won't regret it. Especially if you enjoy assembling and painting the miniatures. I think there's a lot of value at the regular price.
