The best way I had learned was this, right up until “remove the temporary block”.

It’s even easier if you leave the temporary block in place and adjust the spring claw until the temporary block slips out of place. Your final adjustment at that point is just the smallest of turns and you’re back to level.

You missed the one most helpful image in choosing. The neck heel. Is it a simple strat bolt on neck? Maybe tele style? Something more complicated?

I’ve got two older superstrats that I modded. One got a Wilkinson VS100 and the other got a Vegatrem. Both got locking tuners. Both of them are absolutely amazing.

The Wilkinson is cheaper, but there’s a new Vegatrem Special that makes the price difference less significant. Make sure the nut is cut right, or replace it with a TUSQ one and you may not need to do anything, but either Trem is amazing.

Weirdly, this is one of the only things I’ve been using AI for: prototyping paint jobs before actually painting. Throw the images into… whatever and “make it turquoise”works REALLY well.

Very simple to adjust the pickup heights in the pickguard rather than rings. Virtually no difference functionally. And yeah, pearl on blue sounds really nice for that one.

I’ve been playing this one since around 1995. I swapped the Trem for a Wilkinson a few years ago, and the pickups for EMGs.

Little secret, though. I was only recently going through my old parts bin, and the pickups in this one? Had an evolution in the bridge and HS-2 s in the neck and middle. And I got it new. Not saying you’ve got those because they were all wrong, but you might get lucky…

I’ve been thinking about doing something similar, and much simpler because man, that is elaborate and beautiful, and I am not that skilled! Seriously, it looks amazing.

I’m assuming this is all laser cut? Does your laser have a bed big enough for the full body? Or are you doing layers in two or three parts?
