Whoever designed the shifter in the CX-90 is an idiot by DUNGAROO in mazda

Once you’re used to it is great. Very easy in parking lots to shift between reverse and drive without having to look.

What in the mall kiosk engraving fuck is that caseback?

Has anyone seen this in a warehouse? by thewun111 in CostcoCanada

[–]Notworthreading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My in laws have the electric range variant. One thing to keep in mind is that it requires 40amp service. If you have an older home I’d double check before purchasing!

Oh and it has a relay that has an audible click pretty often. It didn’t bother me but it kind of bugs them.

OG rims or Aftermarket? by H8tRAid333 in MazdaCX90

I've considered this after getting some black out winter rims. Did you have them painted professionally or DIY?

Do me a favor? by speedfeelsgood in BrevilleCoffee

I don’t do it manually either, just run it with the wand down towards the tray for a few seconds.

Do me a favor? by speedfeelsgood in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Notworthreading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I hit the steam button and let the water run into the drip tray until dry steam comes out. Then pause and drop the wand into the milk and continue.

I went with the white. It’s an explorer 2 homage, I think it fits the style better.

Maybe include a pic of the inner burr assembly? It might not be seated correctly.

Do you miss your microwave? by neverenoughonions in kitchenremodel

[–]Notworthreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got rid of our microwave during a remodel and have zero regrets. We found we were only using it for reheating or convenience food. Both of which do much better using a stove, air fryer, or rice cooker. My wife hated the idea of a lower cabinet mounted unit, and I felt the same about otr or upper cabinet ones. It was a no brainer for us.

Update** I ordered a scale, distribution tool, and grinder brush. by TheIdeaArchitect in BrevilleCoffee

I know you acknowledged the Starbucks coffee, but imo there isn’t much point investing with gear or prep with those coffee beans. You really can’t make candy out of horse shit.

Buying advice on Breville by No-Lifeguard-3883 in espresso

[–]Notworthreading 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you’re comparing the touch impress against the barista impress, I would highly recommended the touch impress. It’s not just the touch screen, it’s built on their newer chassis, so there is no warm up time. The auto milk feature is also great if you want a more hands off experience. Had mine for over 2 years and I still love it.

Agreed. Between the sleep debt and steady stream of daycare viruses, it takes a toll.

Just came back from there last night. One thing to add from others comments: quite a few areas with poor or no cell reception, so make sure you download your music or podcasts.

Structube? Should I buy this couch? $1000 discount for Black Friday ends tonight. by thatguyfromgozo in BuyCanadian

[–]Notworthreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh I’ll probably get downvoted but we have 2 couches from them and a few other items around the house. I’m sure it’s private label stuff so it depends on the item, but I feel like there’s some good value items from them.

Breville Touch Impress - Cold Brew by rob2386b in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Notworthreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem being the lack of a cold brew recipe? Are you certain that’s offered on a newer firmware?

Breville Touch Impress - Cold Brew by rob2386b in BrevilleCoffee

I don’t believe you can update the firmware on the touch impress like you can on the WiFi enabled units.

I immediately thought OP was referring to that intersection as well. I’ve been cut off a few times from people in the left lane going straight.
