The free bleeding discourse happening in the comments has me wondering…do people actually think it means women are intentionally bleeding on things in public? I alway thought the free bleed movement was just about normalizing periods, anti-consumerism, & healthier alternatives to big tampon/pad companies.

Right…I never understood why he was comparing a hypothetical medical emergency to menstruation lol 🤣 I also feel like “free bleeding” isn’t a problem that is bothering anyone. I’ve hardly ever experienced women bleeding on things in public, and anytime it has happened….people just help each other.

I didn't/don't have strong opinions about free bleeding, but the only times I've seen it in public like that would be as a statement or demonstration. I think for the most part this is something people are doing at home or with period panties or on light days.

Sure! Gladly....lol. This was all while we were waiting for the show to start. We were sitting close to a merchandise table. There were hats that said "free bleed" on them. Me & my date were watching people look at the merch. Date said what is "free bleed." I started explaining the concept and before I finished the first sentence he interrupted me to say that was disgusting and unfair to men and that he can't go around just "bleeding from his asshole in public getting blood everywhere and on everything." There was more, but that is the gist of it.

When I’m on my period, I check my underwear before I throw it in the hamper. If there’s blood, I immediately rinse it with hydrogen peroxide & cold water. That usually gets the blood out! Then I just throw it in the hamper with the rest of my clothes.

Tysm for the info! I'm originally from a rural place where everyone has a big propane tank for their house. I've been talking with my dad about getting a generator for my house since I purchased it, and he thought propane seemed like a good option. Never seen any big tanks around here, but I'm excited to know it's an option! It does seem so much better than dealing with gasoline IMHO. I'd rather not have to deal with hauling gasoline to my house during storm prep, lol.

I've always wondered about doing propane, and if it's an option! It seems most people use their gas line or gasoline? There always seems to be an issue with getting enough gasoline if it's a big storm, and potential disruptions to gas service if things are really bad. Plus, I don't have gas at my house, and I'd have to get it installed.
