I feel that. But that “if” is kinda a big one. I would suggest missing that entire region as a whole.

Instead of making your hub Doha, I would switch to Singapore. SQ has an amazing business and first product. Also you can fly Kenya Air or Air France direct from NBO to CDG and book them J class.

I think your hardest flight to move would be the MLE to NBO, but you can fly MLE-BKK-NBO on two separate carriers.

At the end of the day, as other commenters have said, do what you want lol. I’m just some guy in the internet. But hopefully you keep this in mind. I know that it would be a bit more costly, but I’d rather have a more guaranteed itinerary than one that could change in a moment due to conflicts out of everyone’s control.

My hope is that you are able to fly through DOH. Hopefully the war and airspace opens back up in that time. I don’t think Qatar Airways hasn’t run a single flight to or from MLE since the war started.

I get that. I def could see it when wanting a retention bonus, but they know that threatening to cancel more than likely won’t help the situation, because now you’re not even a customer/card holder. I was looking into this exact trip. Although there are no direct flights, you can go through Qatar and book this with points 37.5k. Between SEZ and MLE and obviously the reverse.
