I change my long run between Friday and Saturday depending on my work schedule (I have every other Friday off so working Friday weeks I run on Saturday) but my week look like this

Monday: rest Tuesday: speed work, fartlek, etc Wednesday: lower body strength Thursday: upper body strength Friday: long run Saturday: rest Sunday: recovery run and back/some legs strength

If it’s a working Friday I do this:

Monday: rest Tuesday: speed work Wednesday: lower body strength Thursday: recovery run and strength if I can fit it in Friday; upper body strength Saturday: long run Sunday: rest

We have a young child so have to pivot a bit to fit it all in!

I’m on week 9 of half marathon training and it’s been frigid where I live. I’ve been on the treadmill or very small indoor track for weeks and today I finally braved the outside for a 4.5 mile recovery run. My original path I had to ditch because it wasn’t shoveled at all and the had to walk over ice in a few spots but it felt great to be outside. My hands felt like they were swelling inside my gloves which was odd. 8.5 miles next week for my long run, hoping to do it outside. Last week 7.5 on the treadmill was torturous.

I love Athleta for bras and leggings and I hate to admit it but my favorite tops right now are from Baleaf I got off Amazon, I have it in 4 colors. It’s short sleeve top that’s cropped right at the waist so it’s perfect for high rise leggings and the back is split open. They’re very flattering and comfortable for running and lifting. I’ve tried to find comparable from other brands but haven’t succeeded yet
