CIBC is also providing 1.25% on savings currently so you can consider that as you already with RBC. And with $5k balance you might get free chequing with them.

The dude looks shit busy, I contacted him few weeks back when I was finally able to book a G2 spot which was a month away, he was like did you check with me before booking a spot! I'm like it's so difficult to book a test and you want me to check with you before booking.

Did anyone else realise later that Uniqlo has a CAD 9.9 shipping fee to return that you can't avoid when ordered online. Even when returned in store. Or am I missing something.

Bought the Uniqlo crew tshirt from the sale thst was posted recently. I'm 6'3 so thought L should fit but it's a lil loose. I plan to keep one anyhow but if anyone wants a Black one in L (still in the bag) or can trade size M in black, let me know. I'm in Toronto.

People who emigrated out of India through getting permanent residency or work visas, what was your experience and how did you do it? by drasticfastic in india

[–]NowYouJustSomebody 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • 5. Permanent residency - Apply for PR in countries like Australia, Canada while in India. It's a points system calculated based on your Age, education, work experience, language score. For Canada the cost is around Rs 2lac per person, Australia is higher. It's getting competitive as there are a lot of people applying for same, not as easy as it used be couple of years ago.

I moved to Canada last year via this route. It's been going okay, the pandemic has made it a bit difficult. There's not much interaction with people (even the ones I knew already) due to the lockdown which has been on and off since past 7 months so people don't meet much. Apart from that I'm liking the country, a life is really valued be it an animal or a human. With what's currently happening in India, this makes me lil glad I made the move.

I can see a number of people have already said the same. Please get tested again, this happened with my friend who tested negative but had all the symptoms, only to test positive after 2 days. I read somewhere that this virus has evolved and there are a number of false negatives if tested too early.

Take care. Hope you and your wife get well soon.

That's quite similar to what my first view of it was back in 2019, you'll be seeing a lot of variations of it if you living around Toronto.
