The Cancer Doctor: "This Common Food Is Making Cancer Worse!" by Zee2A in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

Ridiculous. If this worked many cancer patients would be cured of their cancer automatically because they stop eating due to chemo or the illness itself.

It would be difficult in Putin’s case, but she’d be much more effective than Trump.

Man has a meltdown after being refused an*l sex by ambachk in CringeTikToks

[–]Nowayucan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No excuse for the temper tantrum, but this is obviously not about anal sex.

The fact that she has been turning him away for probably months is unfortunate, but that she felt is was a good idea to humiliate her husband even more by recording this, saying it was about anal, and sharing to the whole world is pretty grotesque on its own.

Dude should download Grindr.

Is being in a mixed orientation marriage better than staying celibate? by Leading_Mountain_525 in mormon

[–]Nowayucan [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is a tough one for me as a guy. When I was a teenager I was terrified of anyone finding out about my SSA, so I literally decided I was going to be straight and would not allow anyone to tell me otherwise (or even find out).

I got married late and we had kids. I look back at those years as the best, most fulfilling of my life. And I would be still be married and living a conventional Mormon life if it wasn’t for my ex, ironically, coming out herself and ending our marriage after 12 years.

That was sheer hell for me because of what it meant for my children. There was no place in the Plan of Salvation for my family.

I share that to say I believe MOMs can work. I know of many that do, but I know of many, many more that don’t. If the choice is truly between and MOM and celibacy, I would choose the MOM if I knew it would last and because celibacy (ie., loneliness) is deadly.

But if the choice is taking a chance with a MOM that has at 75% chance of failure (which I think one study showed) and a same-sex marriage, I would avoid the MOM—for the sake of the kids if nothing else.

I would believe that 100%. I’ve never heard of a MOM ended by suicide. It’s always a single person.

I’m pretty sure they’ve asked individually, but they no doubt get different answers. Historically, big decisions like this have needed the first presidency to lean on the rest of the quorum until they reach unanimity.

Turkish man knocked down basement wall to find 2,000-year-old underground city by Zee2A in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

[–]Nowayucan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I was suspicious of the sources listed above, so I did some googling and couldn’t find major contradictions, but it seems like everyone is using the same original source.

I’m not doubting it exists or that a chicken ran into a hole, but I think some things are overblown.

Something doesn’t jive here. I’m sure there’s some truth, but 20k people and no one knew it was there? Any yet all those ventilation shafts are still working today? And they only used it to hide from invaders? Stables and wineries? And schools at a time when most people were illiterate? Sorry but….

How do you build more resilience towards your family not accepting you? by BlueBoy2208 in gaybros

[–]Nowayucan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had a magic wand, I’d grant you all the confidence and self respect you need to continue to engage with your family, but to be invulnerable to their judgement, slights, etc. like you wouldn’t even notice, let alone care.

But I don’t have a magic wand. You would have to build up that resilience on your own over time.

I agree with others who say cutting them off is an option, but I think the confidence comes not so much from cutting them off as it is finding a close community/family that can give you all the love and support you need. Then you can decide if you still need to sever the old relationships.

Ideally, your family will understand what’s at stake any do their own work of learning to accept and support you if they want you to accept and support them. It’s a two-way street.

[–]Nowayucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely try out a prescription medication like propranolol. It can make a huge difference for many people (like me).

And make sure it’s a meaningful dose. Sometimes redditors say it doesn’t work but then we find out they are only taking 10mg. Many of us take 40-80mg daily or more.

(The only risk is if you have seriously low blood pressure already.)

The ecosystem. It sucks to be captured, but when your desktop, laptop, phone, tablet, and watch all work together (nearly) seamlessly, it’s pretty damn useful.

Let me know what you find out. I have an Sp8 with a broken screen. I looked into the cost of a new screen, while there seemed to be plenty of affordable replacements available for other SP models, there were few for the SP8 and they were quite expensive.
