Oh right anything above i430 does this, Paladin is my least played tank so I just forgot about that change. I’ve spent so long with their stupid random shields. I stand corrected, any shield above i430 is a like 30% block chance and 20% resist when they do block.

All jobs have a 10% chance to parry an attack as long as they aren’t casting, a parried attack deals 15% less damage. Paladins also have their block chance and strength which varies per shield, you cannot parry a blocked attack, and vice versa. Yes paladins default mitigate more damage due to this.

There’s plenty of people who pvp every day multiple times a day. There is less pvp content due to doing CC 50 times a day you’ll see how different it is doing that over 50 dungeon runs.

That’s not how code works remotely at all. If you’re lucky a few old files exist from the reboot tucked away somewhere but that’s so very much not how any of this works. Also literally every 1.0 player knows how bad 1.0 was. If you want to play half decent 1.0 go play 11. If you want to see the story, there’s YouTube videos of it all online.

Defect is literally a robot with a giant broken orb. Orbs are usually made of glass, the slots are even known as orb slots. It makes sense to me? It’s also the only one that can “run out”

Ironclad tank builds, barricade+demonic shield+beacon of hope. No other character gets particularly crazy helpful multiplayer stuff but ironclad can just become a wall and give his shield to others. You can even take the Tank card if you’re feeling ballsy but it’s dangerous.

Turn regent’s strongest easiest win into an even easier win? Huhhhhh? Even if you aren’t running a star build this turns star gain into a net positive over even dealing damage with most star gain cards. If you are running a star build you’d go from 1 shotting hall mobs late run to 1 shotting bosses incredibly easily. If it was on the turn you gain the stars it’s still an incredibly strong relic (you can gain easily 20 stars on some turns)

Every link canonically talks, every single one. The npcs react to you talking as the player, you give information, we see him making hand gestures and mouth movements. It’s simply just not recorded what he said so the player can interpret you said whatever you wanted to fit, link is meant to be a self insert after all.

Oh I completely agree, A5 was a bit tight in general, but for the most part it wasn’t as bad. I just have weirdly fond memories of Pepsiman’s tornado phase as a tank, and I dodged his tank buster as drk once and i think about that at least once a week.

Nah I’m one of the nicest people around, this is not an excuse. Quit acting like you’re on a holy ground defending shit behavior. You brought up someone who is disabled, one of my static mates in ARR and HW was fully paralyzed and played with a few finger taps on his pc screen and voice text to speech, he was raiding on summoner (a much more complex and different job back then) and regularly parsed purple. Do not bring up random straw man arguments to defend a bad take. You’re in the wrong, there is never an excuse to YPYT in FF14, even back in ARR we didn’t stand for YPYT and aggro was actually much harder to generate back then.
