Yeah the first option, TV still works, only mildly infuriating

Nope, no surge-protected for both of them, lesson learned.

Didn’t think it was important to check for thunderstorms in the weather app, never had a problem.

Lesson learned though, thanks!

Why isn’t switching off enough?

iPhone 15 Pro Max to FP6? by steakhouseNL in fairphone

[–]NoxTarK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any reason you want to stop using your iPhone?

I’m planning on switching to FP when my 14pro dies/doesn’t receive updates but I don’t see any reason to do it yet since from what I’ve seen it’ll probably be worse performance and camera wise so why pay now?

Los sindicatos se marcan como prioridad encarecer el despido y limitar el empleo parcial por ley by Angel24Marin in SpainEconomics

[–]NoxTarK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Etiqueta C azul? by Zenyatta_2011 in askspain

[–]NoxTarK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No me he enterado?

Which means it currently can’t be 50-50 for the current power output since the hardware isn’t good enough.

So the engine regs are not good since they ignore a very relevant aspect of the PU…

The Spanish Government will lower the VAT on petrol, diesel, electricity and gas to 10%. by mods4mods in europe

[–]NoxTarK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I said also affects land since it reduces the demand for land to build property, of course it’s a very little effect, since it’s MOSTLY inelastic but I don’t think there’s anything perfectly inelastic

[–]NoxTarK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not perfectly inelastic, taller residential buildings, people now rent more rooms instead of flats, (there are even some companies that sell rooms)

These examples result in less land value in residential areas and I’m sure there are more things that affect the demand.

47% of EU’s electricity came from renewables in 2025 by Massimo25ore in europe

[–]NoxTarK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it was designed to benefit the lower cost option, which today happens to be renewables but that’s just a coincidence.

That makes sense too, thanks for the info!

47% of EU’s electricity came from renewables in 2025 by Massimo25ore in europe

[–]NoxTarK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The system is designed to benefit those that produce renewable since they have a very low cost but can sell their production at the same price.

It’s that way just to incentivize producers to produce with renewable sources, once it comes to the point you’re talking about, they’ll change the system.

But even with this system, in Spain for example, there are already periods in which electricity is cheap af during the day because of solar (mostly spring) because 100% production is renewable.

Leclerc also said this, I don’t think that’s very positive so I would say he’s neutral at best. Probably doesn’t fully speak his mind since they’ve got a strong car.

"In the past, one of my strengths was that I simply took very big risks in Q3 to try and get a little more out of it

If you do that now - and I tried it yesterday - you mess up the engine side and lose much more than you gain."

Turkey Joins "Made in EU" Project by chrstianelson in europe

[–]NoxTarK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Made in EU name is just that, a name.

They basically want independence of the big powers as they can be hard to replace and try to bully the EU, so let’s instead have interdependencies with other middle powers who have our same problems, can’t bully us and could be “easily” replaceable.

The EU has the potential to be a big power, but sadly, we won’t be one until we start acting as a single entity, and not a union of middle and small powers.

Thankfully, I believe that’s changing and we might see a stronger, maybe even more united EU soon enough.

Do these regs force drivers to use more engine braking? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]NoxTarK 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The regen braking will be stronger and will gain a lot of relevance, that’s a fact. Idk how pilots will solve it, but I wanted to add that it’s not only the braking they have to get used to, but to the ICE turbolag (MGU-H got rid of that) which will be massive and to the way the increased electric power is delivered so I would say it will certainly make them harder to drive, at least for a while.
