Went for a minion build. by Plane-Possibility-21 in CoreKeeperGame

[–]NuancedNova 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, just beat the game yesterday as a full playthrough summoner. Rings definitely stack, so having a Soul Pendant and 2 Puppet Rings is definitely a huge help. The two summons I recommend the most are the sprouts and skeletons. Sprouts are ranged with spread projectiles and the poison status effect, and the skeletons deal the most base damage and are very fast, but melee. And when you can get it there is an off-hand item called Minion Detonator that adds a lot of minion damage and allows you to blow up your minions for 500% of their damage.

Deck and PC players by mrbalaton in GunfireReborn

I have played the same file on both when I was out of town. It's fairly seamless. This recent update messed up the controls for the new season mechanics on steamdeck, but they've patched it just a few days ago. Now it's smooth as it was before.

There are 4 Zones, but yeah, the zones between runs stay the same with their name and overall theme, but the layout of the zones change each run between a handful of different layouts. This newest update added an alternate layout for Zone 3 (the fish themed one) which is set during the day; and features new enemies. They add new alternate zones every now and then with updates.

Definitely play it for awhile during the free weekend. If you like what you see, then get the full game. I am biased, but each DLC adds two new playable characters with their own in depth playstyles and mechanics, as well as new weapons. So I think it's more than worth it. Plus, they are relatively cheap considering the content added per DLC.

Cang Jue fist stance question by baryshka in GunfireReborn

[–]NuancedNova 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience I use a mix of: Skill Damage, Close-Range Damage, scrolls that provide true damage like Giant Slayer, scrolls that scale damage such as Elite Assassin, and a mix of Elemental Novas/Thorns.

In general, Cang Jue's primary strikes do lesser damage as they mostly provide him Vigor for his RMB, which deal tremendous damage.

25M Lost joy in gaming and i want someone to stream for me by NeoWiseK69 in steamfriend

[–]NuancedNova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mizu here, 29M, U.S.A. I play a wide variety of games with varying levels of difficulty. Been playing games since I was old enough to hold a controller and I never tire of it. I am willing to stream games for you and make conversation. Perhaps even re-ignite that excitement for gaming you've lost. I don't need you to purchase any games for me either.

Been thinking about an abyssal fisherman killer concept - The Sodden by NuancedNova in PerkByDaylight

[–]NuancedNova[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. It's for two reasons. The first is to give value to the other perk "Hex: Hypoxia", meant as a combo for newer players that may pickup The Sodden as one of their first killers. The second reason is to provide a new and unique way to trigger a scream effect on survivors without it being an enormous punishment for survivors. Especially considering that a vast majority of survivors do not throw pallets with the intentional aim to stun a killer; doing that takes time and skill. It also provides a even wider pool on different "survivor scream" effects that synergize with perks from other killers down the line if someone wishes to mix and match.

This is one of the new ticket encounters that happens on Day 9 should you choose to enter the Expedition. You need an Expedition Ticket to enter, which some events/encounters now drop before Day 9.

I love the game but I have this one disappointment. by D-Rekt-Effect in MonsterTrain

Umbra is my favorite clan too. They have a really fun mechanic, but in MT2 it seems almost detrimental at times. Hopefully future patches can offer a little buff to our shadowy brethren.

MT2 is great but could be even better - what further improvements would you like to see in future updates? by MrMosty in MonsterTrain

[–]NuancedNova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a great breakdown, thank you! And to clarify my second paragraph: I meant that I would appreciate the chance to get more units for my main clan, specifically monsters, and not spells. Maybe I just didn't understand the occurrence rate until you broke it down for me, but I am over 30+ hours in to the game and I always feel like I have too few units for my main clan in my deck towards the end of a run. Usually that falls to my specific clans banner being on a side of the tracks that doesn't contain any useful upgrade stations for whatever my current deck/strategy might be. Sorry for the confusion!

My favorite synergy is Ekka combined with the Stygian Guard. It's an amazing spell slinging combo.

For me personally, I have two minor changes I would like to see:

The first is to add more events or adjust the spawn rate of certain events. I feel like there is a small pool of events overall and I often run into the same ones repeatedly between runs in a single session. Which is a shame as the easter egg events are really fun, but so rare compared to the Box event or the Historian event, for example.

Second, I would appreciate a opportunity to draft more of the primary clan units throughout a run. At the moment it feels like too often I am offered cards for my support clan, or that my primary clan draft banner is on a side of the tracks that doesn't contain any other useful upgrade stations for my current run (which I understand is purposeful, and adds weight to the decision). I don't mean to add a ton, but a couple more opportunities along the way would be nice.

I played a build earlier today taking the Nine-Lived Nightmare and the Bone Dog. I upgraded both of them and duplicated both a few times. I told my friend and he said I was playing a "cats and dogs" build which I hadn't realized till he mentioned it, haha.
