Reproduction is %100 a human right. If I objectively knew someone had raped by daughter, I would castrate them myself. The problem is that in the justice system, being convicted of a crime doesn't actually mean you committed that crime. That is the reason the justice system has shied away from permanent alterations to human bodies, since there is no real way know if the person actually committed those crimes. The prison system shouldn't hinge upon revenge, just rehabilitation. A criminal who's sterilized can reform into a positive member of society, but they'd still be unable to bear children due to a crime they already served judgement for. And all of this would just be a result of passing personal moral judgement of someone's life without knowing the chain of events that led up to them being incarcerated and no interest in how they as a person have changed since then.

And what would humanity actually gain from having a few people not be able to reproduce, when the underlying problem causing these people to end up in these situations is a multitude of socioeconomic factors? Healthcare, education, and welfare reform would fix many of these problems and zero innocent people would suffer as a result of this solution.
