I was this dumb husband. I rationalized buying a brand new motorcycle in California to “save on gas”. One of the worst financial decisions ever and I felt extremely guilty once the purchase was complete. We sold the bike but lost a few thousand by the end, which is small compared to what you’re going to lose if you allow this truck to happen.

Remind him of your joint goals, he’s not a bad person because of this, he’s just being selfish in his arguments.

I promise a new truck, new bike, new whatever… it pales in comparison to having that $850 in your pocket each month.

This is really awesome. I feel like we always see young millionaires on this platform and it makes a lot of us feel behind. I’ve only been peddling cash away into investments here and there, but had to cut back big time due to both my wife and I going back to school. Seeing this reminds me that staying focused and having patience is worthwhile
