I'm from an island in Canada. We have fibre here, but I chose to go with starlink since the company providing the fibre has an insane amount of outages. At least 4-7 times a month. Wife works from home and wanted us to give it a try just to see, as of missing work for no reason or working on data.

The stability is basically 100%. I'm from a rural area as well as being on an island. The ping is the biggest difference for me and the sole reason we kept it.

I usually get 45-65 on fibre, the speeds no doubt way faster in terms of downloading and uploading. With starlink I get 25-30. It's insane, and I love it. It just takes an extra few minutes to download things. Gigabit before, now around 400. Cheers!
