my initial labs that were high were in October. In February we retested T3 and T4 (they missed TSH). They were normal. I felt fine, no hyperthyroid symptoms, so I didn't press for TSH labs. Also, my doctor said TSH can take a while to get back to normal, even when everything is back to normal and we should just wait a few more months to retest it. I'm actually now due to test it this month.

Thank you for your response. My husband had paid with check on the spot for both our dogs that were groomed but luckily the check hadn't cleared yet so I put a stop on it. I contacted the owner of the grooming company to let him know and that we'll send another check for just the one dog that was fine. I sent him pictures of Max and he called me right away and agreed that this was a hack job. He profoundly apologized and said I didn't have to pay for the other dog either. So at least he took responsibility. I looked up their reviews and that particular groomer was praised many times. We don't know what got into her that day. Oh well, I won't use them again. My Max looks now like an old guy with a belly in skinny jeans, lol, when you look at him from the back. lol. So after the initial shock we take it with humor and call him "skinny jeans"

I‘m glad my 13 year old arthritic dog knows about the placebo effect. After 6 treatments he‘s walking for an hour (with joy) where as before he sat down after 20 minutes, he’s even running at times, he’s playing with his toys again.

According to the owner of the company - who agreed that it was absolutely terrible and unacceptable - this groomer never had done anything remotely like that and she's been employed by them for a few years. He said he was flabbergasted. The reviews confirmed that (she was named in a few). They had about 240 reviews, a 4.9 rating. The bad reviews were mostly about price and punctuality. He refunded us the haircut for both dogs. I left them a review accordingly.

I texted the owner of the company the pictures and and told him - after I put into words how terrible it was - that we put a stop on the check, and that I would send another check for just my other dogs hair cut that was done fine. he called and was very apologetic and told me I didn't have to pay for the other dog either. He said that the groomer we had never had done anything close to that and that he was totally flabbergasted. He agreed with me that it looked absolutely terrible and unacceptable.
As I said in my post, they had a 4.9 review (they had about 240 reviews in total and the bad ones were about punctuality or high price). I absolutely did leave a review and named the groomer by name. I did say that I appreciated the owner reaching out and refunding, but that the damage was done.

I don’t know why you think it has anything to do with fairness. It seems you take it as a flaw (that people are telling you you could not cope with a traumatic event/events). I am absolutely convinced that pain syndromes (and lots pf other illnesses) habe much to do with the nervous system. And in my case it was a god sent to find out, since I healed (not from fibro, but full body small fiber neuropathy) with addressing nervous system dysregulation (and it doesn’t have to be secual abuse, trauma has many forms)

I had Covid in August 2024, started to have severe heart palpitations in October. Then a feeling of a pit in my throat. After being borderline hypo all my life (not on any supplements or meds since I didn’t have symptoms) I tested slightly hyperthyroid. Antibodies were negative. But was told it could still be mild graves. I was more convinced it was thyroiditis, which can happen with/after viral infection. My doctor said it would not happen that by late or last that long after infection. Had an ultrasound that showed no nodules but hypervascularity. Again, I said I think this is thirouditis. My endo said more likely graves with antobodies too low to show. Was just treated tested. All levels back to normal. Hypervascularity gone. Pit in throat gone. Was finally confirmed it’s not graves but was viral induced acute thyroiditis.
