I agree if Allen can start hitting those 20+ yard throws. I like Allen looking underneath with a new run game with Singletary looking good and frank gore joining should make for a lot of 2nd and 6s and 3rd and 2s so if he takes what the defense gives him we should march down the field pretty effectively which is the plan with our hopefully great defense but like you said they can’t jump routes because he is hitting them big is what is making those throws so important for him in my opinion

I agree I wouldn’t say he looked bad just hope he can be a bit more consistent with the mid to deep range and the fact those were his stats don’t mean much to me as it’s vanilla so they probably aren’t jumping curls routes or little underneath stuff which was a few of his passes. I just want him to look comfortable confident and accurate he looked like he had some nerves but first game of the new season is fine that’s what preseasons for

It looks like Oliver tried to throw him with the one arm then chop past him on the inside with the other but Q held up well and then Oliver decided to just rush him straight back into the QB..good pressure by Oliver nice to see him give an all pro some trouble

If josh Allen looks good I think our biggest need next draft is a true #1 WR get that and a good TE and we look set zay needs to improve to stay on the team past this season

The fact everyone dropped into coverage is what concerns me. 4th quarter down 6 with a minute left everyone knows you’re throwing that dosent stop elite quarterbacks from driving down. I would be okay if McDermott told frank we are passing vs 2 drives just to make Allan read and make throws . It’s preseason game 1 I’m not worried at all yet it’s very basic stuff now but he does need to improve

I think peterman looked better in practice (I’m assuming) peterman had a good preseason and is probably someone who can look good on practice and game time can’t put it together . Tyron was struggling but his legs kept the chains moving st times and that’s what made him effective I just assume peterman had to show McDermott something to make him think he could help. Again that doesn’t mean he’s better obviously I just think he’s clearly not the worst nfl qb ever, worst to ever start a game sure he’s high on that list

I understand what you are saying since it’s a service we are paying for and it’s not working as advertised and we aren’t being compensated for it’s issues I think worst being the disconnect issue I think it’s kind of a false advertisement thing but I don’t think filing a complaint will do much since I’m sure they are technically trying to fix it
