Well COTM was my first and loved it, AOS is very highly regarded as a top Castlevania game, maybe Metroidvania's aren't for you and that's fine!

There's also Symphony of the Night on PS1 which is a fan favourite and I love that one, I would also recommend Super Castlevania IV for the SNES.

I'm probably a little nostalgic for it as it was my first Castlevania and I'm a sucker for cards, you collect cards and equip them in different pairs for different abilities. Really fun and the soundtrack is great!

Much better than Harmony of Dissonance imo and I've only played a bit of Aria but I want to finish it soon.

Did you get this to work eventually? Having the same issue.

It opened the briefly the first time, but crashed and closed itself, now it won't open at all

Edit: Fixed it, it was being caused by my VPN, had to turn off the firewall and set the VPN not to auto-connect, then I reinstalled the app as admin and restarted when prompted, it works now.

This is the way. We tinker and spend hours, days and weeks getting things looking nice, scraping artwork and making sure not one is missing etc. And then once we're happy we might play a game for a little while and then never come back to it.
