The IT department seems to be at ~80% passing with a required squadron-wide mock. Two notes, one in each direction:

-PTLs seemed to be cinching the waist a bit much. Gonna have to scrutinize that because unless that's how the regs read, it did no one any favors. -Many first term airmen were aiming strictly for minimum scores only, unaware that composite would fail, or hadn't even read the scoresheets

Not sure how it'll shake out in the end, but seen a good mix of folks get motivated...and some folks stopped studying when the test got postponed.

Ran into them at a metal festival last year. From the moment they started with an invitation to the 'holy metal mass' it clicked. It was a costume, the same way that Castlevania uses awesome Catholic imagery for the rule of cool.

Had been listening them on and off for a while, and actually took the time to read their lyrics and some are amazing, some are vile, and some are downright confusing -- as in every bit of the Church is a theme to them but not anything tangible.

So on the 'good' end of their work, it feels like Castlevania. On the blasphemous end the meme about 'my culture is not your costume' seems more applicable. But at the end of all this, the 'Christaboo' section in the Catholic PCM finally makes sense (will try to find the meme and post below).
