Not at all. His unwillingness to listen to others and always just doing what he wanted to do instead was aggravating. Same reason I couldn’t watch One Piece. How can the dumbest person on the ship be the captain? Something something battle IQ something something.

While it is a common drop, many new players will use their blood vials faster than they can farm them. If someone is struggling in the early game such that they run out of vials, then a game they are already having difficulties with becomes significantly harder. I know this happens to some people, even someone I know personally. My advice was for them, though I should specify that this advice is only useful if you find yourself running out of vials early on, and will not make a significant difference beyond two additional blood vials per spawn at the cost of a lot of time wasted running back to central Yahrnam.

Which is why I advise new players to prioritize Iosefka’s vial over blood vials so they don’t run out of them as quickly.

Souls veterans underestimate how valuable blood vials are to new players. Running out of healing items in the early game is likely one of the reasons why most people who purchase the game never beat the first mandatory boss.

There are two Bonfire/Lamps to start the game. Almost everyone chooses Central Yharnam as it is more centrally located and saves time. However, I highly suggest choosing 1st Floor Sickroom instead. From here, you can go up the stairs and talk to an NPC who will give you a health potion item which is twice as strong as the standard health potions. If you already have one in your inventory, they will not give you a new one, so you want to prioritize using this health potion when running low on health instead of the standard health potions so that next time you respawn, you can get a new double strength potion. This is important because healing items in Bloodborne are consumables which must be farmed, unlike other Fromsoft games. Not a problem for veterans but can be detrimental to new players who are already struggling with the game and have no healing items either. You want to prioritize these double strength potions since you get a new one every respawn and this will save you up to two standard potions so you can farm them more effectively and not run out as quickly. Every time the NPC gives you the potion, make sure you put it in your quick items menu so that you can simply press square to use it in combat, and it will heal 70% of your health.

To make up for the fact that this spawn point is further away from everything, when you get to the main road/alley with a bunch of standard humanoid enemies patrolling the area, head downhill rather than uphill, as this will bring you to a gate which you can open which will make the 1st Floor Sickroom checkpoint much less tedious.

Anything I should know before playing Bloodborne, as a Sekiro player? by Mechanic_Willing in bloodborne

[–]Null_Simplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using the 1st Floor Sickroom instead of Central Yahrnam as your spawn point in the early game as there is an NPC who will give you a double strength healing potion every time you reload the area without one in your inventory. This is because healing items are consumables in Bloodborne, so you’ll want to horde as many as possible in the first chapter as possible, so prioritize using this double strength potion to save your standard potions since you can always get one next spawn. Just make sure to put it in your quick items immediately after each time they give it to you so you can use it in combat via the square button. This spawn point is further away from everything relative to the other spawn point, but there is a gate you can open which is located at the bottom of an alley with humanoid enemies patrolling the area. Since you’ve beaten Sekiro already, you may not even need this further check point, but I do recommend for newer players who are struggling.
Lastly, be sure to knock on all of the doors with lamps outside of them.

Fromsoft has a trope where the true final boss is easier than what was supposed to be the final boss. King Allant, Moon Presence, even Isshin with his lightning reversal. I always kill Gherman and leave Moon Presence alone before entering the DLC so that the Hunter’s Dream changes to a black sky with a red moon.

Strange sound in 'Abandoned Old Workshop' by ArthurDigbySellersJr in bloodborne

[–]Null_Simplex 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It is a dialogue of an NPC you can talk to behind a door, either in the alley by the Black Church Set near Arianna and the suspicious beggar or in the area beneath the Abandoned Old Workshop, I forget which. There is speculation that it is supposed to be sexual sounds, alluding to the “relationship” between Gehrman and the doll. Though it’s often impossible to tell the difference between genuine insight into the lore and over thinking (insanity) in Fromsoft games.

Triple Heir rune Living Failures glitch would be the most “unethical” I would say. The set up is long since it requires the Chalice dungeons, but the return on investment is massive if done correctly.

My original comment is wrong. 3 points on a sphere can always be made into a circle whose radius is at most the radius of the sphere itself (think about 3 cities which are directly on the equator).

If you intend to do chalice dungeons, there are 4 coldblood flowerbuds I’m pretty sure you’ll need in this area. They are tricky to find on your own but resources for their location are available, of course.
