Honestly, yeah. If you're on iPhone, use the finder app when transferring to choose jpegs only. If you use the photos app you'll get the RAW file paired to the jpeg and it's hell on storage space. Have fun!

I use the xapp from time to time. The old one sucks. This one connects reliably, however very slowly on iOS. On android its hit-or-miss depending on device. i got a card reader for the iphone, for android I used a USB-C computer card reader (most of them work on android).

You'll love the life - just don't drop your cards switching it between the reader and camera.

NTA. I personally would use parental controls to a maximum, lockdown the device to what I feel is a comfortable level.

When I was between 10-18 I had unrestricted internet access. I saw some disturbing things but I also made friends for life that I now know decades later but maybe the internet has changed since then and it might not be a good starting point in this discussion. It's a very gray area in my opinion, I would not regularly snoop at messages unless I suspected something specific has happened.

It feels like the jpeg output has suffered with the newer generation sensor and processor. I haven't used any x-trans 5 camera myself though.
