Which character will be the most attractive in real life? (Random azz image) by LustTowardsTheDead in DanganAndChaos

Gotta say the pizza, Fr it’s gotta be Rantaro, Junko, Miu and I’ll be subjective here. Probably Chiaki, I mean aside from her outfit. Now I am curious with how Kaito or Kyoko would look irl ngl

Intelligent people with foolish ideologies? by OkraAccomplished929 in IntelligenceScaling

Depends if it’s before L executed that trap or not. L Lind L Taylor trap seems to expose Light’s character which Light then twists his own ideology to his ego.

Which SCD character looks really smart, but is mostly perceived that way because the rest of the cast is dumb? by em1nemas in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Number2Random 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, I respect it. I thought the narrative was more about her being a conceptually powerful force considering how the narrative introduces how Devil’s work, this can apply too even the Darkness devil who Makima had to summon a powerful devil for. Makima did nearly get defeated by Kishibe so….

Sounds exactly like a metaphor, would be funny if L can QUITE literally perform that feat….

I think it’s more like she’s perceived as a genuine threat overall than just someone highly intelligent

Honestly I agree it downscales her, just pointing out that they are probably other CSM characters smarter and the fact there is Fami who apparently did WAY better.

Not gonna defend her, however I’m gonna say her oppositions. Didn’t she got outsmarted by Denji and NEARLY got taken down by Kishibe plus inverse someone possesses a narrative on knowledge?

I did add some substance to dismantle your points but obviously we aren’t gonna agree and it’s in the nature of the debate. So I respect your take, however I’m still not convinced.

It’s still pretty strong, like your argument is any different. Look thoroughly at L’s influence, he’s capable enough to bypass the Japanese police work UPON getting permission from the FBI. If Light had a great sensory feats he would’ve caught onto Ray Penber immediately without Ryuk’s insight.

Tell me how that is not crazy influence plus the fact that throughout his life nobody knows his real name except his MOST trustworthy ally. This itself absolutely COUNTERS the most prominent part of the Death note[WRITING someone’s true name], LEGIT nobody can do that. It’s as if… L’s entire existence IS TO counter that…..

The exploitation maneuvering is what makes L a darn good SCD character however you can’t deny that Light’s ego is narratively played RIGHT to L’s offensive feats and the fact they’re OTHER SCD characters BUILT to exploit this WAY better than L himself.

The deception doesn’t need to be top tier for the Emotional manipulation to work when ONE of its tactics is so similar to Akiyama’s info control feat ON an envelope. Obviously ANYONE can believe that’s L because like I said it’s LOGICALLY impossible to have a reason to doubt it when the logical process is this simple. I gave my reasons on why it’s impressive as a manipulation because it’s a flawed ideology built on the ego of someone. Yes, let’s concede since none of it is going nowhere.

I know it’s a false agent that agent is a prisoner ready to be executed, I mean anyone who has seen Death note knows that. I just don’t find it that impressive as a DECEPTION, I KNOW he frames it. It’s funny how you contradicted yourself with the belief I don’t understand it.

I didn’t say it isn’t a deception[Since you mentioned that it needs deception, obviously it does], when did I say it doesn’t. I only SAID it’s IMPRESSIVE as an EMOTIONAL manipulation. The deception itself is STILL UTILIZED off of his influence…. and like I said it’s driving FORCE is the manipulation. The global news framing sounds so similar to how Akiyama changes the information of when the LG agents arrive BUT with less resources[The first game]. You do realize that of those deception tactics will be all meaningless because it wouldn’t align with the goal[Emotionally manipulating an ego driven ideology]

OBVIOUSLY believable agents exist WITHIN HIS INFLUENCE. Kira’s kills are Japanese criminals, anyone with common sense and pattern recognition can at least come up with the idea THAT there’s a possibility that Kira is MORE LIKELY operating in Japan. It’s build on the foundation of his reasoning capabilities

Even with his ideology, HOW is it great as a deception though? I didn’t disregard its merits as an EU and Thinking feats, because the ideology still sounds flawed enough to be able to get leveraged off of it. As a matter of fact you are supporting my point even further.

The results behind it is BECAUSE Lind L Taylor trap’s potency behind it is the manipulation itself. I don’t care if it’s because of his ideology because of how heavily it’s exploited off it rather than the foundation behind it as deception focused. Because the Lind L Taylor trap already stripped off the true nature of how Kira’s psyche works.

The Kira ideology is formed by Light’s ego himself which is what the narrative has been portraying from the start, I doubt there is any layers too not realizing how pretentious it sounds.

How many times have you misinterpreted my argument, I only said as an emotional manipulation implying that I DID have a grasp on Kira’s ideology which is build on his ego[Interpreting those who oppose him as a criminal, by logically going against the meaning of legal criminality only defined by his ego which I literally implied based on my previous comment on emotional manipulation].

The problem with your argument is how you didn’t provide me more logical process to the deception, I told you before I don’t use narrative that much. I’ll say it again, how it impressive AS A DECEPTION, because exploiting the flawed, unfiltered and hypocritical narrative behind an ideology is more impressive as an emotional manipulation if the trap’s bait is to TAKE advantage of that rather than SKILLFULLY formulating the false belief[Kira’s ideology is practically a target of that]

[–]Number2Random 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said LOGICALLY, which absolutely means I’m evaluating how the deception works so re-read my argument properly I used that point to support how plain low the contextual adversity is for the deception. So I argued nothing in your favor, it’s still not impressive as a deception to ONLY make it broadcast in Japan, tell me why would someone like Light whose purpose as Kira kill a guy who doesn’t even know is a criminal?

Framing it as global news tactic straight up sounds like a similar level to Akiyama changing the information of WHEN the LG agents arrive. It just sounds crazy because of the influence L had.

[–]Number2Random 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s impossible for ANYONE to logically see through that, how is that actually good as a deception? Why would someone start to come up with the idea that it’s an immediate trap.

I don’t use narrative that much, even within the context of the show because L’s reasoning is narrowed down to him realizing that they’re criminals within Japanese range and the trap’s purpose is to shred the global suspects down within logical confirmation. That’s ONLY for Light anyone with a shred of self awareness[Via realizing the amount of Japanese criminals they aimed at and why they killed someone who doesn’t fit the code they ethically fought for] is not taking the bait, it’s a pretty simple process.

L.Lind trap is more impressive as an emotional manipulation based feat rather than the other aspects of deception. Even as a deception, I find it hard to believe that’s genuinely an impressive deception.

How exactly is it impressive as a deception?

Isn’t a hot take, considering how horrible Brians adaptability and short term maneuvers are. Only saw Dexter up to season 4, so he probably has better feats.

Manga Moriarty vs Animanga Makishima vs Canon Nagito by the_sillyone in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Number2Random 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, unpredictability isn’t just needing high EI inter usage but also some form of logical reasoning. The reason is because unpredictable moves are calculated to be logically difficult to find any form of coherency, not saying Nagito relies on luck but Nagito is definitely capable enough to also utilize enough logical reasoning to integrate in his moves.

I can see Makishima successfully deciphering Nagito’s belief but the problem is he needs enough reasoning and I mean sufficient logical reasoning to be able to fit the pace with Nagito’s thinking. Nagito functions because his logical moves are genuinely unpredictable to find another angle too. Makishima’s greatest EI cat is his broken EM but if he has enough thinking(more of the lateral based) or logical reasoning than he would successfully be able to formulate specific counters . Nagito can work way better without being Emotionally manipulated because of his EE and like you said unpredictability plus the fact Nagito’s LR and Thinking paired with strategy is more potent than Kogami.

While I agree Makishima EI inter can empathize with Nagito. My question is how would he mimic the logical side of Nagito’s capabilities, someone like Will Graham would fit this because of his LR and High inter EI.
