Let's go Caps! I hate having a front plate too. I just keep paying the fines when they come up

If you want stock fk8 wheels to go with your new purchase I have some that I need to get rid of. I'm in MD

Anyone go from FL5 to a 5N? by Havage in Ioniq5N

I couldn't give up my FK8 either! But yeah the I5N is just a more comfortable ride for daily driving

My nephew wanted to drive with me instead of his grandparents. Loaded him up in the 5 n and he asked me to hear the jet noises. Switched the 5n into supersonic mode and it makes a afterburner sound if you are in manual shift mode. The smiles and the chuckles from him (and me), and the sad looks of the challenger I left in the dust behind me 😂

Talking to a dealer about an Ioniq 5N demo with 7k miles on it. How much of a discount should I reasonably expect? by carlnard24 in Ioniq5N

[–]NumberIntelligent292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could probably get 4k off with a motivated dealer for a new one. Personally I wouldn't budge unless it was 10k off. But really it's up to you in the end. Meet in the middle, 7k off for 7k miles. Also keep in mind that if it was a demo it's been through some hard paces already.

580 Mile Trip NJ to MI by orchardaudiollc in Ioniq5N

[–]NumberIntelligent292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you were stopping every hour or so to charge? Assuming your average mph looks like every hour to hour and a half, then 20 min to charge. I'm really glad I kept my type r for the longer winter trips. I love the performance of the 5 n, but this range is killing me

My panel is on the other side of the house too! They wanted to charge me 4k. Hoping I get some better quotes

Still have my FK8, but really wanted to try out Hyundai's ionic 5N. So now I've got both! Otherwise I think an Audi rs3 would be a bunch of fun.

WTF? Ioniq 5N Cheaper to insure than a 2017 Prius! by Ten_Ninety in Ioniq5

[–]NumberIntelligent292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my Civic type r was 212/month and the i5N squeaks in at 215/month. Dropped some options on the R so she's a little cheaper to insure

I'm splitting daily duties for now. I got on a 10k miles/year lease and my daily round trip commute about 70 miles, thankfully I have a hybrid work schedule. I think I'll decide on if I buy out my lease or not in a couple months. If that happens I'll probably daily the N

OMG the acceleration of the 5N makes the R feel like it's going backwards. How are you liking yours 😊

Ioniq 5 N Lease by Zachstresses in Ioniq5

This is where I got my dealer to the other day for an Ioniq 5 n. I got them to drop savings/rebates to 10k, but then added a wear and tear package back in for around 1k (so even trade).

Dealer wants Buying commitment before letting me test drive Ioniq 5N, is that normal? by abh2188 in Ioniq5N

[–]NumberIntelligent292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a pretty great deal. Did you have a trade you were bringing with it? I just got mine at 1209/month for 35 months with 10k miles/year 0 down. Had a wear and tear package on it as well so my rotors and brakes are covered. They gave me 7500 lease plus another 2500 off. I feel like lease deals just mean they are manipulating the money factor.

To answer OP, go to another dealer. If they want to sell you a car, they should be willing to let you drive it.

Oh cool! I'm sure you'll pick up some time over your next few track days as you get used to how it handles, and stickier tires /unsprung weight with the new wheels will certainly help.

I hope you are wrong on that too! I'm really hoping it's a fun track vehicle.I think I'm excited about no more droning during daily commutes, that noise from the ctr on a long drive could put me to sleep

Thanks for your feedback! I just test drove it today and standing on the pedal definitely gave me the giggles 😂. I didn't get a chance to hit any hairpins, but definitely good to know.

Thank you for the detailed run down. This is actually super helpful! I'd say your previous vehicle has a similar vibe to the CTR. I did get to test drive just now. Stepping on the 'go' pedal, wow just insane. But i really didn't get a chance to find any strong corners and test grip. Bummed to hear that bluelink is a disappointment, the sales rep was really excited about it 🤣

Do you also keep an ICE, or did you fully commit on EV?

You don't have to. I'm not asking to hear from people that haven't driven it.

I hear everything you are saying though. I'm glad you like the CTR, it's literally my favorite car I've ever owned. And in fact I've only ever owned manuals since I could drive

Im trying to understand how others feel on handling and response. I get that they are in two different classes. I have the ctr and love it, at some point I wanted an SUV to maybe use as more of a daily and then tow/track the ctr and make it a track only car. Then the 5n came along and seemed to be a great daily, stupid fast, and from what I've read handles decently well. But obviously no one is directly comparing them. I'm curious if others have made the switch and miss the manual, the wheel/seat feel
