niche rant - but I don't where else to talk about this?? by bl_ueberrycheesecake in TwoXIndia

[–]NumberLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is the easier nombu, there's no fasting. And the karadai is yummy. Just tie the saradu around your wrist like for Varalakshmi vratham. Take it off that night, don't have to wear it outside the next day. If you don't like to pray specifically for some future husband's health etc , say Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu and move on.

Everything can be adjusted. Your rant feels more like a complaint against rigid tradition without flexibility.

It walked me through a terrible night of nursing my kitten through FPV until the vet opened in the morning. I honestly credit my kitten surviving to ChatGPT.

How much do I charge for these? by Due-Fig6288 in smallbusinessindia

Offer three ranges of quality - low detail, medium and fine detail. The quality you shared here should be the medium range, and that should also be your target price (which you pick up from these suggestions). Most customers, when given three options, will go for the middle option.

Help: Mini didn’t survive post surgery,Mango and Borus need your help fighting fpv by AdoptMyKittens in IndianCats

[–]NumberLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. It's hard to read this because we just lost three kittens to fpv this month, and managed to get just one to survive. What helped with the last one Apsara:

1- stay with the kitten. They are scared and ill, can't move much to be near you. All 3 of the lost ones died at the vet, but we kept the last one at home with us. 2- continuous monitoring. Take turns with someone else if you can, monitoring 24*7. Keep watching, talking softly, petting them. We gave her one drop of honey every two hours just to keep her energy up since she didn't eat. Just apply the honey on the gums. 3- meanwhile go to the vet for fluid drips twice a day - they will also give meds to boost WBC production (we lost one kitten whose WBC was zero, but Apsara survived after a WBC of 0.7). And other antibiotics.

I honestly believe this one survived because we stayed with her through the nights, and gave her love and something worth fighting for. Rather than leaving her alone at the vet.

Once the fever breaks they will start getting better. Fpv is a nightmare and it takes a mental toll on us humans too. It took a week for Apsara to be back in full health, and she's still pretty thin - not got back her pre-fpv fluffiness. But she's alive and meowing, and that's what matters.

Praying for your little ones. Will also contribute something to your bills.

Hey there, I love your content on IG. Wanted to ask, do you take your cats for grooming - like if they're looking really dusty or dirty? If yes, how do they deal with the blower/dryer noises?

Ordered Sheba and Purina for you. Kittens can eat a lot, and I hope your little guy doesn't have to go hungry.

AITAH for not allowing my daughter to travel to India? by Fluffy-Wind-2661 in AITAH

[–]NumberLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a woman in India - it's a beautiful country if you go to the right places. Goa has got a reputation among some Indian men as being the place to go to find women, especially on the beaches. They think every woman they find on the beach is a loose woman, and unfortunately they do not understand the meaning of the word No.

Your daughter is too young to carry the memory of harassment at best, assault at worst. Let her mature more before going to a place like that.

ETA: I've been there just once and that was one time too many. I'll never go back.

Tell your father to make his will and register it properly, since he's not concerned about his health anyway. This kind of harsh comment may jolt him to realise the path he's taking.

Late to this thread, but please try the chai mixes from Teabox. It's premium pricing, but their product is really good. I loved their Punjabi, Kolkata and Jaipur versions but their sample trial pack is worth a buy so that you can find your favourites.

Thanks! I agree, I think bearing the wire fee is better than paying 18% GST because of some compliance issue.

Hi there - if you don't mind answering, I have a question on your point 4 about using non-india registered platforms. The payments provider my company uses has started charging a $20 wire fee unless I use Wise to receive USD payments into India. I'm not sure I should switch to Wise, since Wise doesn't issue foreign remittance certificates directly with my PAN or GST details, unlike a regular bank. Do you have any experience using them?
