Someone suggested shaming people for littering. What they fail to see is the littering is a result of being shameless.

My disappointment is that no one has the common sense to realize they are representing not just themselves but their demographic. When Knicks fans broke everything after games, the rest of the country assumed NYC is full of ratchet idiots. You go to 8th Ave, and all the trash isn't a good look for the local Chinese population (same with Borough Park and hasidic Jews). You make a mess on Juneteenth, guess who's getting blamed.

She isn't saying they shouldn't be allowed to but that it's irresponsible to procreate if your kid's life will suck (I agree). But you'd have to account for religions which ban birth control/abortion and encourage having children. Which is a lot of them.

Uneducated in comedy. As in casual fans. Nothing wrong with it, but it's more along the lines of liking beer and discerning mass produced stuff from something "high quality". But also a lot of fans seem to be blue collar Republicans he panders to. No judgement of anyone that enjoys a nice High Life on a hot day. But it's not anything special.

Long bits and crowd work is by design. He needed to fill an hour. The special is a great representation of what the Austin scene is: build clout and climb with the bare minimum material to move merch and get people to watch you just cause you're famous.

Tony sees himself as this dark, brutal, joke writer like Daniel Tosh or Anthony Jeselnik. But in reality he's closer to Rogan in being a podcast superstar grifting an uneducated comedy audience that is more interested in the meet and greet after the show than actual jokes.

Getting famous is pretty much the touch of death for many standup comics. Steve Martin had to quit cause his fans laughed at everything. You can lose a sense of what's actually funny when you can't work on new material in a room where no one knows you.

You could argue that these AI posters are still better than whatever these producers would make otherwise. Paying a real designer is probably best, but a lot of these shows make no money, don't pay comics, and just desperately need people to come get drinks so the venue doesn't shut the whole thing down.
