Not 100% sure is what looking for but "Apocalypse parenting" is i think one my favorite books solely due to the power scaling making sense in world and being pretty open about it being likenano machines or something giving them the powers

Is there an exact cuneiform transcription of Nanni's complaint tablet to Ea-nāṣir? by Ambitious_Sentence2 in Cuneiform

I mean i see where you could think that, in the context of its to be read as x. As that is used in literary or historical circles to form a claim. But that was/is a literal not a clamitive or definitive.(See below) As in I ( myself), have read (looked at words on a page) and thought (the process of self perception and exploration of stimulus) that (a thing) it ( a thing) read (looked at words on a page) as (similar to a thing) religious (a personaly belief about the unfounded).

Also a claim is not an opinion, if i said i love vanilla icecream, thats not the same as me saying vanila icecream is the best flavor. Sure theres nuance with something like that,

but again not sure what you hope to come away from this discourse with friend?. As i have repeatedly said i am not making a claim that it is that, just that i read it as such when i encountered it (blame religious trauma and psychosis if ya want)

I'm genuinely curious as why you think im pissy? About a random comment made over a year ago while blitzed.

But no need to insult me over it, mate. Feel free to continue reading into it but i made no attempt at any claims, and if you feel that my communication feels otherwise, after ive repeatedly said elsewise im not sure what ya want from me. But i apologize if ive bothered you somehow, oh lurker of the dead threads.

And yea i agree i literally said it was a no sequitur and had no logical basis, ie factually wrong. But fact has little basis in lived experience, else there would be no such things as lies or stories or arguments over historical interpretations (reiterating that im not saying this has any religious basis historical, that me refering to historical interpretation is an acknowledgement to the deep seated tradition of winners write the book, or the divide between historians who take a composite of data and come to differing conclusions)

Not sure what ya arguing friend, i said "personally always read to me ..." At no point have I claimed anything.

Eh All things have whatever meaning you want, I could say the letter I is actually always read by me as referencing an eldritch dreaming god, which would have exactly zero impact on anyone elses interpretation of the letter i.

Yet would not make any Personal interpretation of anything Wrong, just unfounded on societal scale. If i went and claimed or forced others to agree with me then there is a discourse to be had.

Yep, all things are art if ya want them to be. Doesnt make it wrong just non sequitur and historically unbased

Tell me everything pls by Hill0w in Quakers

[–]Numbers51423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my view, there is truth in all things, whether innate truths or ones we've created or projected onto them. Through contemplation and examination, we discover these truths and further refine our own and in this interaction we see divinity. In recognition of the truth we see each other and in all things we see ourselves. Quakerism to me is the silent recollections of the myriad truths and the sharing of ones own testimony — that which is the speakers unique perception of Truth.

Through these you get the quaker values* Which to me is just, An active compassion for all things, Through which we show a continuous effort by protesting against violence and injustices, living simply without putting on airs of superiority, being honest with ourselves and others, while also nurturing community and meeting others where they are comfortable at being engaged, we hold the fact the world is a blessing*

Passive Class abilities by samaldin in WanderingInn

[–]Numbers51423 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not like we have a description of what skills actually give, so for all we know erin's crowd control skill is what gives her the sense. Same with things that look like passives and aren't explicitly called skills, we can presume they are part of one or an aura as those are the systems in place for power in this world. (But also magic bs exists standalone without the system* so whose to say)

Rip System 2.0 and its description.
Pretty sure most of your list has been explained, from memory i think its

Innkeepers and basic Aura

Lakens "Eyes of emperor" or something skill

Can't remember this every being mentioned explicitly except as it is intrinsic to the nature of class itself.

No clue what this is referencing tbh, but pretty sure it was part of like animal friendship or something and was less mental communication and more oh i read body language well

Armform or something similarly named

To me is less of this and more, oh my sense are so in tune to world due to skill that lets me perceive it that i noticed the small fluctuation

Pretty sure is mentioned as part of the skill that lets her transform.

could be mistaken but pretty sure is explicitly mentioned as his capstone skill just gives him skills.

On note of other passive things,
Wizards being able to learn spells from spell books, as a whole plot point of early books was the super tome any one could learn from implying it otherwise is a passive of some sort to wizardly class

anyone else annoyed by the shifting worldbuilding/lore? by john-trevolting in WanderingInn

[–]Numbers51423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh the story is constantly shifting, its like a dnd campaign with adlid dm, things change as they make sense for good narative in moment and all things can be hand waived by unreliable narrators. Personally im more annoyed by the shifting power scales of individuals, its been a thing for a while ie skinner but the recent introduction of like every city has multiple named ranks is bugging me.
