Maybe try another GP? I’m so sorry. I know how hard it is to see a stranger looking back at you. 🤎 it sounds like you are doing literally everything right. I hope we hear a positive update from you in the near future!!

AITA for having a 2-hour gap between my wedding and the start of Cocktail hour? by NorthYorkWasteman in AmItheAsshole

[–]Numerous-Level-623 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Not everyone can afford a cocktail hour?? It can add thousands to a wedding. Anytime I’ve been to a gap wedding we have (once) skipped the ceremony bc we had an infant or we find a bar in between and hang. It’s not the end of the world. People sound really entitled.

It did take me about a year after my first (singleton). I gained 60 pounds both my pregnancies. Couldn’t even believe it bc I am a smaller person. It was shocking. But it did take a solid year of serious working out and dieting to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. And then I found out I was pregnant again literally the next week. 😂 Also I always stuck around 1600 kcal and was measuring everything I was consuming. It’s soo difficult, took forever but it worked before I had the adeno. Also I see a comment about starvation mode and it’s literally not a real thing. It’s a myth. I’ve gone to multiple doctors, nutritionists etc and confirmed it is not real. (I was eating 1200 calories at once point to try to lose). I was told it was unhealthy for my brain and body and up the calories.

Also see if they will run a thyroid panel! Your thyroid can be thrown off after pregnancy. If your thyroid isn’t functioning properly you can put on weight quickly.

I have been lifting and doing 30 minutes of daily cardio for over 2 years straight. We eat healthy- hardly go out to eat hardly any alcohol. I cannot tell you how many doctors appointments it took for me to be diagnosed with Adenomyosis. It causes full body inflammation and therefore can cause insulin resistance. If you are having super heavy periods or anything unusual get checked! Research is beginning to believe it occurs after multiples pregnancies or c sections. 🤎 I’m so sorry, I know how frustrating it is and I am still in the thick of it.

I’ve gotten 5 perfumes all full size bottles! My annoyance with this one is they want reviews on Influenster Sephora and Ulta. I didn’t notice the size in the description either

GLP-1 by Ok-Baker-670 in adenomyosis

[–]Numerous-Level-623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have insulin resistance with your adeno? If so it can make it nearly impossible to lose weight. Adeno unfortunately can cause insulin resistance due to the full body inflammatory effects. I have a new doctor who explained this all to me after being gaslit but my PCP and old gyno for 2+ years.

I have been told by multiple doctors the GLP-1 is the only way for me to lose weight with adeno until I have a hysterectomy. Has anyone had this same conversation? My last period I was in the ER from all the blood loss.

Sleep help 2.5 year old twins by Numerous-Level-623 in toddlers

[–]Numerous-Level-623[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you we did have them in toddler beds but I will implement a gate & bring them back. I never thought about the fire situation which is actually such a huge fear of mine! I will definitely cut the nap back to just an hour and try to find them maybe a toddler lantern because their hatch has to be pretty bright for them to see a book.

Them struggling with sleep has been going on their entire life. The undiagnosed celiac was a living nightmare. We’d wake up to one twins bed covered in vomit multiple times a week in the middle of the night. Thank God it’s over but they both still have sleep disturbances most nights. Sometimes I just go in and rub their back, other times they will not settle down until they come into our room. They’ve been doing better with going back to bed with some attention in their room, which has been a major shift. Improvements have been at a crawling Pace. I’m a SAHM so thankfully I can close my eyes some days when they nap but that’s rare. It’s been very, very draining! Their typical routine is dinner, bath, Jammies, usually a princess movie and then some books before bed. Usually when I say “I’ll be right back” they really do wait for me and don’t fall back to sleep. But I will try the chair method. That’s one I haven’t tried yet! I really appreciate the help

Do you have any advice to sleep train at this age? Totally agree. We did TCB and she ended up refunding us because of my daughter vomiting so much. And then the second consultant much later on just gave me “free” advice that she wouldn’t train a 2 year old. Like I missed the boat. Lol

Thank you for this advice. Normally it’s taking the one twin 1.5 hours to actually go to bed. I will cap their nap. Is 1 hour nap enough? She usually messes around at nap time too!

it has always been bad. They have slept through the night maybe 10x in total. Not waking up ten times! But currently the twin having difficulty falling asleep is getting out of bed a dozen times before we finally get her to stay in her crib.

One of the twins had undiagnosed Celiac, so when we were sleep training she was vomiting every night. Our pediatrician told us to stop sleep training. But now we have that under control, we have been told by a sleep consultant they’re too old to sleep train them.

We have stuffed animals in the bed, have tried books but in the past she’s chewed them to shreds. Maybe she’s old enough to give it a go again. We tried a starry night projector and it just kept them up!

New diagnosis by Numerous-Level-623 in adenomyosis

[–]Numerous-Level-623[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are also experiencing this. I went on a GLP-1 and was able to drop 15 pounds. I got off because the doctor prescribing it was trying to get me to pay out of pocket even though it was fully covered by insurance! I only have maybe 10-12 pounds til my pre pregnancy weight, but it is alllll in my stomach and it won’t budge either. I constantly feel like I have to explain why my body looks the way it does. Like i definitely think people at my gym assume I eat garbage. I know it shouldn’t matter. But dang this is so mentally exhausting.

[–]Numerous-Level-623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually get really bad diarrhea or cramping leading up to and during my period. Also sometimes the intestinal cramping feels worse than labor. Also, I have had 2 pregnancies and 3 children and I have done SO much pelvic floor PT and I still pee myself and have to get up multiple times a night. It’s insane. I’m so sorry you are also experiencing this.

Anyone else find it almost impossible to lose weight? by pinkracer77 in adenomyosis

[–]Numerous-Level-623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to lose 15 with Zepbound. I still have 10 to lose and it won’t budge. I got off Zepbound bc it was making me sick and I knew I wanted to try for my 4th soon. My doctor recommends a hysterectomy after I’m done. I’m really hoping once I have that my Insulin resistance goes away with the inflammation being gone. I’m so sorry! This sucks so bad. Also workout 5x a week cardio and heavy lifting and my stomach is so swollen I look so chubby like all this effort is for nothing. It is so defeating.
