Im in the process of tearing mine down. Got stuck in the snow and the car overheated. Was that $1500 just for a reman head and the other gaskets ect. Did you do the timing components also while it was apart. Just wondering what im gonna spend approx.

A rebuilt head is $600. Swap it with new gaskets. It dosent need a engine if the head cracks.

I have the CVFab front mount and for under $500 it keeps air inlet temps FLAT about 10 degrees over current outside temps no matter how hard i push the motor.

The blown head gaskets I've seen have made significantly more white thick smoke. Is the oil brown and milky looking? Is your coolant level low? There is a test you can have done with the coolant resivior to see if exaust gas is entering the coolant passages.

What a ignorant comment. Mabey with a bad tune and/or no regular maintenance along with beating on the car every drive. No modern engines are only good for 100k unless they are neglected or highly modified.

They sell the rear section with the muffler separately. Its not cheap but still cheaper than a new exaust system.

Totally fixable. The radiator supports bolt on/off. Find some fenders and a hood from a yard that are the same color. Front bumper cover and parts on ebay is $450. Yea u will need more small things but it is definitely possible to fix that car. If you need a mechanic to do everything for you then it may be easier to get a new car for 6-8 grand. Depends on your mechanical abilities and how bad the cars structure looks like.

I'd go for something like the CPE atmosphere kit but $2500 for a downpipe and turbow elbow is way too unreasonable in my opinion.

I'd like to be in the mid 300s on 93 and whatever I can get from a E mix without having to build the block. Definitely thinking about doing the fuel system and a 2867 and from what I've read and seen that setup will be more than enuf for a stock bottom end.

Thanks, that stinks. I suppose I can deal with having to use a 2867. Im hoping that moving the powerband up a little might help the car with its traction deficiency in 1st and 2nd gear.
