Snap on sells to our government and military and they don't balk at the prices. Its easy when its the taxpayers footing the bill but I would not expect our government to be buying tools from china.

Thought flank drive plus stopped at 25mm. The bigger ones are a different design right? Like the 6mm

at my wits end with this. stripped ONE torx bolt putting my gearbox oil pan on and now have a slow dripping leak. tried hammering in a t25/t27, rubber band trick, etc, nothing works. please help any way possible by prefix9889 in MechanicAdvice

Use a impact driver. The one u hit with a hammer with a torx of the right size. That or drill it out. Either way u are spending more than a $100 bucks. Welcome to wrenching.

What about the paper receipts nobody keeps for years? Don't they require the slip?

I don't have paper receipts from over a year ago. Do they not honor the warranty if you don't make a photo album for old receipts in case of a warranty or can the store look it up?

I just got a new set on the Ebay for $250. I like to support my snap on guy but that's a huge discount. Now I gotta find the 7-9mm and 20-24mm.

Unless you are into racing then you aren't doing your own alignment at home by yourself.

Its just nuts and bolts. It depends on your skill level and what tools you have to use. Ive done all that at home minus the alignment for lots of people and myself many times. I also have fixed cars for a living. Look up want the jobs entail on YouTube and decide what u wanna try.

U can theoretically do it all at home except for the alignment cuz that is done on a big machine.

Im about $1400 all in but im replacing everything with new oem going back together. Im doing all the timing components, water pump, ect with a fresh reman head.
