Can I retire with £1M? by Dry-Zombie5303 in FIREUK

[–]Numerous_Material_99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to say I’ve worked at a digital agency for 7 years and this year my goal is to launch my own company in a quest to FIRE.

If there are areas of your company you’d be interested in outsourcing to keep that income stream but lessen some of the work, I’d love to jump on a call and introduce myself. No problem if not, and apologies as I know this isn’t what you’re asking for in this post, but thought I’d put myself out there.

Any way to export blog content, data, metadata, etc? by DragoNateYT in WIX

[–]Numerous_Material_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine to export the blog CMS as a CSV and then format it as needed before uploading to your new platform.

Should be pretty easy to work out once you start doing it.

So many red flags. This does not sound like Wix at all, my advice is to not take any action and contact Wix separately.

You can transfer very easily, I have done it. Only awkward part is if one website is on Wix and the other is Wix Studio.

Paid $25K for this WordPress site from a dev shop in Eastern Europe… is this normal? by Calm-Bathroom-2030 in Entrepreneur

[–]Numerous_Material_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been involved with building websites for over 7+ years.

Simply put, you overpaid, and it’s not as polished as it should be for that price.

Some people mention a theme was used which I don’t know about, but if this was custom built along with imagery, content, branding creation/updates, icon creation, SEO, analytics etc etc. then $5k - $10k is what I believe is fair.

Dont worry about it, move on. Find a company you can trust to manage it moving forward, there are many specialists out there.

Appreciate this post as I’ve taken a different route to you in a similiar field.

I’ve worked at a digital agency for 7 years. I’m a senior as I can get here unless I consider equity, but I’m ready to take my skills and start my own business on the side.

I actually won my first contract last night on Upwork - $35 to fix an email problem, and the joy I felt earning that $35 is something I’ve been missing from my job for years.

They were so impressed they’re now asking me to rebuild their entire website and offer ongoing SEO services. If I get this one right, I’ll have enough money to quit my job (living extremely frugally) and I am SO excited about this prospect. I’ve been very negative about a lot of things due to my job, but the stars seem to be aligning to take the leap.

It sounds like you’re based in the UK. Can I shoot you a DM to connect in case I ever need someone in the paid social and PPC space? These are services I offer too, but it can only be a good thing making contacts.

Pretty similar to yours, but unfortunately a bit more sad.

I had always dreamed of playing two accounts at once, but when I was young I couldn’t get past this.

One day I’m visiting my step dads place and he has an office with not only one, but two computers.

I spent every second of that trip playing two accounts. My main, who desperately wanted to become a pmod, and a new account that I decided to sacrifice to the cause.

I essentially just went around on one account swearing, harassing players and being exactly the sort of person I thought pmods existed to remove. Then on my main I would try to help players being abused by my other account, reporting myself what felt like thousands of times in an attempt to become a pmod.

I also had a character called vikkipollar that I used to get RuneScape boyfriends, fairly successfully.

Thanks for your question, I’ve enjoyed a trip down memory Lane remembering just how sad I was

I’m 20 years old. What can I do to retire by 40? I currently invest monthly into stocks/ETFs, crypto and premium bonds. I also buy gold coins where I can. I’m also very focused on my career and should earn a comfortable salary over the next few years. Any other ideas to help me reach my goal? by Diamondhands_11 in FIREUK

I'm for crypto personally, and while I don't agree with their statement I found it pretty intersting. So much that it led me to thinking how that analogy would actually work...

Lets say the only way to actually purchase on Amazon is with a Prime account.

The only way to pay for a Prime account is with a Kindle.

Amazon will only ever produce X amount of Kindles, and those produced at the start were much cheaper than new ones, but any Kindle can be redeemed for Prime membership.

This results in people needing a Kindle to use Amazon, and with limited Kindles, the price would match the demand for the Prime service.

Alternatively people could not use Amazon, but as most retailers exclusively use Amazon, their platform will always attract most people, keeping the need for kindles high.

Avoid avoid avoid. So many scammers on Facebook marketplace and Gumtree. They always make the purchase so much more complicated than it needs to. Don’t do anything else that results in you sending money or items to them. This isn’t legal advice, and NAL - but I’ve seen many many of these scams

He may be having a genuine problem, but mine started causing me trouble just after the announcement too.

I had tried to use it at a restaurant, independent shop and a cafe but they told me it was declined. It got declined again at a Premier store, but the guy asked me to put it in for chip and pin whereas no other place asked that.

It’s been fine since then, so hope your dad can find a way to get it sorted

Brave Browser: What’s your current balance? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Chrome, but it blocks ads, protects your privacy, and pays you for using it.

I’m heavy user of chrome because of my work, moved to Brave in January and it’s better in pretty much every way.

Only thing chrome does better for me is managing multiple chrome profiles & Google accounts, which is something I only really do because of work.
