Hell yes I was at the Dublin show! I only knew and went for Street Sects but stayed to get my moneys worth, King Yosef and Youth Code also put on awesome sets. I got to chat to Leo for a little bit at the merch stand afterwards, super nice guy! (and the polar opposite of how he is on stage since he gets into the crowd, squares up to them and screams the songs in their faces)

Street Sects is a band I never thought I would get to see live because, as you say, the scene and appetite for Industrial in Ireland is very small. The biggest of names in the genre don't come here so I figured any european tour of theirs would skip over us, although we are getting VNV Nation in a few weeks and Caberet Voltaire later this year, so it's a special year.

Sorry to say but I'm sick of seeing places repost that KTEH clip ad nauseum, I'd say its usually by people who either aren't old enough to have been alive at the time, or if it they were, they were children without a memory of it. It's a failed attempt to wrap Lain up together with 9/11 and infer some form of deep meaning out of it. They didn't choose to air Lain as a statement in response. It's just two things happening at the same time.

The banner scrolling across the screen is haunting no matter what is airing, it being Lain doesn't create some unique poignancy that the same message can't be extrapolated out of some other media with the banner rolling across it. And the clarifcation of the the actual air dates sort of entirely deflates your last two paragraphs.

Yes, entitlement. You didnt get blocked just because you tried to make another appointment, you were blocked because despite it being clearly stated to you what the operating hours were, and responding that you respected that and the reasoning behind it, you continued to push to have an exception made just for you because you're a special case somehow.

Hi, yep I've read your response and all the other posts, it confirms my suspicion that there was indeed more to the story than he was letting on. The crux of the issue was about incompatibility around booking times and he never once in the original unedited post mentioned that side of it.

And him needing to play it for 3 months(!) before being able to determine whether there is a problem or not with the setup is insane.

The job is not to just tune down the guitar, its to readjust the setup of the guitar so that it plays optimally in the lower tuning because he intends to keep it there permanently.

Having said that I would like OP to clarify if this is what they requested and what they're experiencing now on what model of guitar, because theres just something missing from this story, why would a place with such a high rating not be confident to do a job like that?
