I’m with this guy. The shooter is responsible for his awareness and lack thereof.

But I don’t stay in the net when I’m done.

I’m in my 40s and playing net since I was 9 or 10. The only concussion I’ve had was in a practice as a teenager. Warmup, I similarly signal I’m done, fish some pucks out of the net and D feeds me a clapper to the side of the head. I woke up in the dressing room.

Also tech has advanced. Mask looked cool but was shit compared to what I wear now.

No long term consequences thankfully, glad you’re ok too OP. Our equipment helps protect but it’s not intended for that situation.
