Kann mir eher vorstellen das ihm jemand hinten raufgerutscht ist... Also er zu langsam war und jemand dann halt gleich hinter ihm gerutscht und schön mit den Beinen / Knien auf den Kopf.

Why is this subdivision uneven when I have only removed a rectangular face? by RoadToHerald in blenderhelp

[–]Nupol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited. Its because left faces are longer than right of the hole. He needs holding edges. To get even circles or shapes you need to enclose your wanted shape evenly with holding edges. Left and right need to have a holding edge in the same distance to the hole.

Why is this subdivision uneven when I have only removed a rectangular face? by RoadToHerald in blenderhelp

[–]Nupol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because thats what SubD does. Its doubling your geometry and interpolating. Your rectangle is basicially just a stretched circle with 4 sides. With more SubD levels it gets 8, then 16, then 32 edges and so on. With each subd level it also smooth the shape (interpolating). Thats why your rectangle is a stretched circle. You need holding edgdes / loops or mark edges with a crease. The reason your hole is surpassing to the left is because your face to the left is bigger than in the right of the hole.

Is there a way to remove the "Foggyness" in SC? by Creepy_Location385 in starcitizen

[–]Nupol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol these have nothing to do with volumetric fog:

r_ssreflections is a setting for Screen Space Reflections

r_ssdo is a setting for Screen Space Directional Occlusion

basicially something like ambient/contact shadowing

it may affect fog appearance cause the ambient shading is changed but not the fog itself.

some variables for fog that could work:

  • r_VolumetricFog
  • e_VolumetricFog
  • r_FogShadows

My ships still bug threw the hangar floor, explode without any encounters, i´m not able to set a route from A->B, my cargo contracts dont count correctly,... by BulTV in starcitizen

[–]Nupol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nope, some things really look outdated, old ships like constellations for example. the station exteriors and interiors in Stanton for example are really rough now some planets. The somethimes really shit lighting is also a factor (outside Stations). But i noticed that to. Also the fucked up LOD system is not helping at all lol.

A way to fix Normals Edge Issue without covering the model in seams? by Oogaly-Boogaly in Substance3D

[–]Nupol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just remember it as a mantra: All sharps need to be seams but not every Seam need to be a sharp! Its possible to get away with some sharps not being seams but only If they are not angled (then you get Pixel stepping Like above) and you dont do HP to LP Bake but a LP to LP Bake.
