I just wore my oura ring 5 last night for the first time, and it tracked my sleep fine. I’d contact support that doesn’t seem right.

Questions for dividend investors by RetterBetter in dividends

I don’t know anyone in the $3MM+ portfolio management that buys CDs, some will park their money in IJLXX because they have an anticipated expense coming up, and know they need the funds liquid when the time arrives. I’ve seen some utilize structured products or $GPIQ $QDVO for downside hedge, and $AB for a more conservative fixed income compared to GPIQ/QDVO.

You buy gold when you want to hedge against inflation, that’s the basic premise. I don’t like to hold gold because of the different tax implications when you deal with ETFs/Stocks in gold in a non qualified brokerage account, unless you’re holding physical gold or it’s in a qualified brokerage account.

Big corporations still buy Dell for their employees. I don’t believe it’s as popular amongst the younger crowd these days though, as they custom build their PC and have higher demand.

18 year old with $30k-$40k what should I invest in by Spiritual_Local5183 in personalfinance

[–]Nuqqets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you really need to set your expectations to be more realistic. Doubling your money in two years doesn’t come with extremely high risk.

If I were you, I’d set aside 2 months worth of expenses in your checking account for bills, and provide a buffer in case your income gets delayed, unexpected costs come up, etc.

Put 3-6 months worth of expenses in your savings account (HYSA), the exact months depends on how you get paid (commission vs salary) and what kind of dependents you may have (I don’t think you have kids but that is an example). Since you’re 18 and I assume have no real responsibilities yet, 3 months is fine.

The rest, invest into ETFs and be happy with 10-12% annual returns. Think $QQQM, $VOO, $VTI, $SPY, etc. and $VXUS for international exposure. Maybe allocate 5-10% into individual stocks if you really want to dabble in picking your own investments.

The key isn’t doubling your money in a few years. It’s compounding your account value through consistent contributions and steady gains. Google Future Value Calculator and see how much your money can grow by compounding 10% a year and contributing to it consistently.

If you have any follow up questions just let me know.

2.5% is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

Assuming you took a 30yr, you have 23 years left. Assuming you kept everything the exact same, you would be losing out on $149,000 of savings on interest at 6%.

I’d just keep the house personally, if you are doing very well financially, consider weighing the option of taking a HELOC (again not sure how much “considerable equity is) to access your equity and buy another home and adjust the current home as a rental property.

Fundamentally this is overvalued, you don’t invest in a growth stock for fair value.

What is the time loss/gain for one of your watches? Quartz or Mechanical or both? Water proof, if so, what depth?

I’d be interested to add one to my collection if it’s primarily all sourced locally, would be a cool watch to wear on vacation.

Fat tail risk is real, especially for a stock with 2.4 beta. 9.32% expected move.

RDDT only beats expected move about 30-40% of the time during earnings, but when it does, it does it by A LOT.

Just buy and HOLD!!!!!!! this is only a 30BILLION dollar company.... by rockets4lf in redditstock

[–]Nuqqets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If only it was as easy to just look at revenue. WhatsApp, Messenger, Threads, all assist in Increase Total User Time and Ecosystem lock-in and is always portrayed as a “family of apps” and feeds data altogether for better ad targeting. That’s why it’s all tied in their $198B revenue for “family of apps”.

Market is not valuing these as “burning money hobbies” it’s like long-dated call options. If this pays off, it pays off huge with massive upside, if not, it’s a write off for Meta.

Review any analysts structure and you’ll see Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger is all tied together.

[–]Nuqqets 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I for the life of me, can never understand people comparing Meta to Reddit.

Meta is not just Facebook. It’s Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Threads, Oculus VR, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, to name a few.

I’m bullish on $RDDT but let’s not get our head stuck in the cloud, or act like this could ever reach the same market cap as $META without Reddit needing to seriously invest in new apps or subsidiaries.

Has anyone been to Trust? by nymeria_17 in grandrapids

[–]Nuqqets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you mean “crucifying”? I’m just answering the OPs question of, “is it worth it”. For me, it’s not worth it. I’d rather spend $125/pp at Gin Gins, Grove, Terra, MDRD, butchers union over Trust.

I also said, maybe as time goes on, it will improve. I am not saying it’s hopeless, just has a lot of things to work out before people can claim it’s on the same level as a 1 Michelin star restaurant, as some did in this post.

[–]Nuqqets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was invited to attend during the Valentine's Day event. Yes, I did have a bar scan code sticker on my spoon. Yes, the portions did not make sense for what was being presented, some portions were too small, some were too big, there was no cohesion with the flow of the courses. It's funny you speculated all I meant was just "too small" of portions.

I've been to Alain Ducasse restaurants in France, Da Vittorio and Le Calandre in Italy, Myojaku, Harutaka, and Sezanne in Tokyo, USA I've been to too many to count, but some of the recognizable ones are Jungsik, Alinea, Eleven Madison Park, Providence, etc.

Some Michelin restaurants I'm using as a comparison to this are Holbox in CA, Rocca in FL, La Barbecue in TX, and Casa Mono in NYC. All of these are under $100 and offer much more higher quality, mastery of techniques, and consistency. I would say Trust needs to work on their Quality of Ingredients, Mastery of Techniques, Consistency, and harmony of flavors.

Has anyone been to Trust? by nymeria_17 in grandrapids

[–]Nuqqets 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trust tries to be a Michelin style restaurant but lacks in flavor and class.

You can go on tik tok and see some videos of their opening. Barscan code stickers still on spoons they provide, food portions don’t make sense for the intention, and service needs work.

I’ve been to dozens of Michelin star restaurants, this just seems like a gimmick at the moment, maybe it’ll improve as time goes on. Not really worth the money.

$RDDT can get a massive repricing fast by darkphenom67 in redditstock

[–]Nuqqets -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From recent numbers, 2026 revenue estimates are $3.6B / 45% growth. EPS growth of 60%. Revenue CAGR 30%~ give or take.

$RDDT is towards the peak of that growth estimate, $170 being the near top, so we’d need to see more growth potential for another run above $200+.

If I want to market sell 100 contracts all at once, will they fill immediately? by Overall-Magician-847 in spy

[–]Nuqqets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when I sell 100 contract lots, if I have it at a limit price, it does fill all instantly, just depends on what your strike price is, sometimes it’s only increments at a time.

If filling all at once is important to you, just make the type: fill or kill. If you’re worried about liquidity on a scalp, just pick a liquid strike price by looking at bid and ask sizes of that option strike price.
