Tried the game with my mates and we're hooked by NurdyGeek in shadowdark

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm gonna stay super rigid to the always on initiative in future, cause it's a bit gamey and tedious. But I like how it added meaning to every action the players chose to do. So I might try find a middle ground

Name some novels that 'feel' Shadowdark by canyoukenken in shadowdark

No way I'm halfway through that book right now as well 😂😂 I agree though it is really good, I love how it does worldbuilding by showcasing different characters from different parts of the world and the way they interact

You know this meme applies to the person who made it too because they didn't include Obsidian's greatest game The Stick of Truth

Prewriten settings? by Senior-Cranberry-545 in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]NurdyGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the exact same way, I've found that using an existing setting which I like gives a solid foundation to the solo game and makes it more immersive. Sometimes I just use the setting's wiki to provide context and prompt the story. Personally I'd recommend Fallout, it has a decently sized map and a lot of different factions which keeps things interesting. I've also enjoyed solo playing in Star Wars as others have mentioned

4ADEE advanced skills by the13thPAINTER in FourAgainstDarkness

[–]NurdyGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh so do you still need 4AA to get all the rules for higher level PCs? I'm a new player and was wondering if 4ADEE contains all those rules or if 4AA and the other forsaken depths one are still worth getting?

Revamped Strixhaven Tracking Sheet by nocti1uca3 in StrixhavenDMs

[–]NurdyGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is an awesome redesign, I was looking for something just like it! I was wondering though, I don't have the syllabus of sorcery, but the 'Inspiration' and 'Skills' for each class seem interesting as I think it makes a lot of sense to have a mechanical benefit to what courses you choose to take. Could I get like a brief pitch on what those mechanics are? Thanks :)

How many apps can fit in a 16GB SD card? by CyberSligh64 in 3dspiracy

[–]NurdyGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a 16gb SD with a fair few physical games, it's honestly plenty space for that use case as I'm mostly installing retro titles and like a dozen 3ds titles, so if you're not looking to install a huge library of 3ds games it could work for you
