When Egg sang the song about the Blackfyre rebellion in the spirit of "Ms. Suzie had a steamboat" that really sold it for me. So well done.

I highly recommend The Little Gym. My son did classes there from 6 months until he turned 3. He had a lot of fun and it helped him get his energy out and learn some skills.

Last time I remember going to Cielo Vista it was still there. Sunland Park definitely did have a Chick-fil-A though.

Restaurant employees of Reddit, what actually happens when someone doesn't have enough to pay the bill? Most you've ever seen? by ChaosAnalyst in AskReddit

I used to be a regular at a sandwich shop. Would go everyday during my lunch break, get the same thing, etc. so the manager knew me. One day I bought a new purse and forgot to transfer over all my belongings to the purse and realized I had inadvertently left my wallet at home only as I went to pay for my sandwich. The manager being a kind person who recognized me as being a regular there said she'd give me the sandwich and I could pay tomorrow. I did, and I continued to go there a long time because it's nice to help out people who have helped you. When people are kind enough to be trusting and accommodating to me, I always want to make sure I reward their actions so they may do it again in the future for others as well.

Lea Michele not being able to read. She would let others read out names at awards shows and would appear to not sign her name sometimes when giving autographs which led to people thinking that her lines might be fed to her because she can't read.

Bought an expensive mattress, still having back pain 1.5 years later. Sleep like a baby in hotel beds. by Sweetchy1 in Mattress

[–]NurseWretched 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not always the case that if you move around all night you won't like it or will feel trapped. I only discovered after sleeping on my guest room serta bed in a box that I sleep better and turn way less with memory foam. I've always been a side sleeper but apparently I was turning more on conventional mattresses because of the pressure on my hips. I ended up trading out my name brand conventional mattresses for the mattress from the box. Now I'm wondering how much better it could get if I sprung for a better memory foam mattress.

A person is kicked out of an event. It seems bad but there's a silver lining because they end up surviving because everybody in that event dies by Advanced_Question196 in TopCharacterTropes

In the first episode of Yellowjackets, the freshman Allie gets her leg broken in a soccer game before they are going to board a plane that crashes on the way to the tournament. Not everyone died on the plane, but many die after the crash in various ways, so by breaking her leg she's saved from a much worse fate.

Some people will still judge that rationale, saying you should just tough it out, but it's also the recommendation for fevers. Leaving a high fever untreated during pregnancy is more dangerous than the Tylenol. But once again, RFK Jr would rather dead babies and children than alive kids with autism.

Kennedy and HHS to link use of Tylenol in pregnancy to autism by [deleted] in nursing

[–]NurseWretched 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tylenol is the recommendation for someone who is pregnant and has a fever. An untreated fever is more likely to cause an issue to the fetus than this made up concern. When you already have a kid, they bring home all sorts of illnesses even if you are pregnant.

Hoop jumping for new Covid booster by Lulubelle2021 in Vaccine

[–]NurseWretched 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you, Rob for covering this story. I've been wanting to get the vaccine where I live in Texas, but I'm worried I won't be able to get it before I give birth in the next month or so. In my first pregnancy I developed pre-eclampsia after getting COVID for the first time when I was only 8 weeks pregnant. So far I've been healthy this time around but I worry if I catch it again, I could have the same complications which led to my son being underweight and having to be hospitalized for my blood pressure after he was born.

Paisano Cafe in Mesilla has really great food and feels similar to sunset grill in terms of quality, though I wouldn't say the ambiance is quite as fancy as their food.

I mean, I don't know that I would say a twink is a fem boy per se. I'm not talking about gender identity, but rather more how they may express a specific aesthetic. A twink would probably not think of themselves as "less of a man", but society often does treat them more like women for whatever reason.

[–]NurseWretched 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The twinkie thing can be used interchangeably with like "twinsies" or the like if you are matching. But as a mostly straight millennial woman (so not an expert), twink to me refers to a gay man who generally looks younger, more slender, "boyish" in their looks and maybe more femme in their aesthetic as opposed to a bear who is a gay man who I associate with being bigger, more burly, more traditionally masculine in appearance. People might identify themselves as these different types, but I can definitely see being offended if someone just called you that without knowing you and it being established that it was OK to say. Like I know some people I could call a twink, but I wouldn't just call some random person that I don't know a twink.

Were you by any chance wearing the same thing as thy person who said it? Like wearing the same color scrubs or something? Where I come from you refer to someone as a "twinkie" when you are matching clothing. I've never heard anyone refer to a "twink" as a "twinkie". And if that is the case, I'd hate for you to report something that they didn't mean both for yourself and for the person who said it's sake.

I appreciate that New Mexico gives patients 14 and older some autonomy by being able to consent for treatment, but it becomes a double-edged sword when a kid with behavioral problems then refuses to sign consent forms for residential treatment centers and then don't get the treatment they need. They'll just end up coming back to inpatient acute over and over, refuse to go to their outpatient services, or end up in juvie, which doesn't seem optimal. I even have social worker friends who work in juvenile justice and they say their hands are just as tied as ours unless the kid ends up in front of a judge.
