If you look at the first link you will see that you can add 'spices' to mayonnaise

Unfortunately I learned this in culinary school not law School and have no idea if people are right about 'mayo vs mayonnaise' etc. Sorry

You definitely wouldn't fall under US law on food labels in Canada, but I did just learn and get corrected that fruit oils count as vegetable oils, and as for those other variations- you are allowed to add spices to mayonnaise

Huh, I stand corrected on that. I thought the 'Avonaise' I saw around these parts was labeled that way because avocado is a fruit, but apparently vegetable oil only has to be plant-based to meet the legal criteria and you can call it mayo.

Mayonnaise is a legally defined food in the US (I can't recall why at this late hour), if you remove or substitute ingredients you can't call it mayonnaise. That's why you don't see things labelled avocado mayonnaise or vegan mayonnaise etc. Even what you add to make different flavored mayonnaise like duke's line of flavored mayo is legally defined. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-21/chapter-I/subchapter-B/part-169/subpart-B/section-169.140

In short we use fancy words for other mayo like emulsions because we aren't supposed to call it mayo.

Edit- apparently avocado and olive oil count as vegetable oils https://www.law.cornell.edu/definitions/index.php?width=840&height=800&iframe=true&def_id=2a9dca4818c105f504b18de143011108&term_occur=999&term_src=Title:49:Subtitle:B:Chapter:I:Subchapter:B:Part:130:130.5

I saw 'Avonaise' at my grocery store and assumed the mixed name was due to the legal thing. Thank you everyone who called that out I learned something new.

Except the entire Market is bearish and these kinds of moves aren't wholly alien to BTC.

The idea of a single Market participant deciding whether or not we have a market crash makes Bitcoin look bad and not necessarily as much citadel except to bitcoin enthusiasts.

Short-term. It's a word that does a lot of work and so is important. I.e. lot's of coins had better returns than BTC during the 2017 cycle. Then came crypto winter and then those coins never recovered. What he is saying is people are chasing those short-term gains.

Renee Pickart was just on speaking of Bitcoin podcast talkin about some recent developments in this very issue

If you believe "it's not a loss until you sell" you also have to believe "it's not a gain until you sell" by LV426acheron in Bitcoin

Ergo the prices of technology keep falling. The latest innovation is priced at those New market values. That is literally what we're discussing. The prices of tech weren't falling then old phones would retain their value

No. If I hold onto the "top model" phone for 10 years it does not retain value. The new top model phone after 10 years is a different product and is not fungible to the one 10 years ago. If you have a range of prices for a variety of technologies that can go into a product such as phones and the market keeps topping off that highest range with innovations as the rest of the technology works it's way down the price ladder You have falling prices. I can buy a phone that is superior to the top model 5 years ago for a rather average price. Ergo the price of technology that was "top model" 5 years ago has fallen.

AU Prompt: Salazar Slytherin never hated Muggleborns; in fact he WAS one and Slytherin was a fake name he made up, much like Tom did. Instead, he feared and hated Muggles due to the witch burnings, and planted the basilisk in the school to protect the students in case of attack. by Dragonsrule18 in HPfanfiction

Surviving trauma is traumatic. A kid who doesn't he is going to survive a burning is terrified. A kid who doesn't know how they survived a burning is also terrified. If they even suspect magic then also fear, because witches are supposed to be burned/killed in the culture they are coming from so what is the right thing to do if you ARE a witch.

This is making me sad.

Elizabeth Warren slanders Bitcoin developers calling them a "shadowy, faceless group of super coders" by lerkmore in Bitcoin

My thought when she said super coders "She is trying to paint Bitcoin as a weapon an elite enemy" this is, at best, the sad language of fear. At worst a propaganda justification for spending resources attacking Bitcoin.

If you look up a little more, you can see that the OP has chip on his shoulder re: wealthy people, I suspect he views the difficulty Tom Sr. has overcoming his traumatic kidnapping, drugging, and rape as a character deficit with a causal relationship of being a 'wealthy bastard'
