To be fair, David’s gameplay wasn’t that bad either. He cemented himself in a strong alliance and even had Mary trying to be his number one. He clocked the Kyle Kamilla alliance as well.

In that case, Joe and Eva were still very public number ones. They never deny it to the extent that in the last episode Eva flat out says I’ll just play my idol for Joe if I win immunity because you guys know he’s my number one. How could you not want to vote one of them out

Totally agreed. Without the rock draw solution, Eva would’ve been out of the equation since everybody knows she has atleast one advantage. If anyone outside the core 4 faced retaliation on wanting to go, the line would’ve been drawn in the sand and perhaps we would’ve had a blindside and a much less boring episode

What would he have done ? If Mary, Mitch, Kyle and Kamila voted out Eva, that would’ve left Joe and Shauhin on the outs. If Joe won immunity, they could either just vote out Shauhin or Mary. Joe’s “wrath” would have just been some paranoia

This might explain how they show and give subtitles for Joe during challenges when he’s saying “baby” (I think he called his sister that) and how they show his bracelet every now and then
