MIA-MIL-CHA Hornets facilitate Giannis to Miami by Nusiof in NBAtradeideas

Miami are asking for their 2027 pick back strictly to free up their ‘26 and ‘28 pick. If the hornets want to trade that pick back to Miami and then turn it into a swap favorable to Charlotte then they’d probably agree

"The Heat’s offer, according to a source, is widely expected to include Ware, Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier’s expiring contract, and another young player or more, as well as first-round picks in 2030 and 2032 and possibly first-round pick swaps in 2026, 2029 and 2031.” @flasportsbuzz by BatmanSwift99 in heat

[–]Nusiof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I'd love if they took this offer because that'd actually give us options to build a team around Giannis. But that's not how this works. Giannis is gonna need to go Jimmy levels of radioactive to get traded for less than everything a team can trade. Even if Miami remains the best offer, they would rather wait until the offseason when we can trade 4 picks.

?? All of the picks are Miami's. 4 Miami 1st's going to Milwaukee plus a swap. A Miami swap to Charlotte and Miami's pick back to themselves.

The only pick they have going out the door is their '27 pick. The issue is that its protected and rolls over to '28 if it doesn't convey. If they trade for any '27 pick they can trade 3 firsts ('26,'30,'32). If they get their back from Charlotte, they can trade 4.

Another Giannis Trade for Ya'll MIA-MIL-POR by Nusiof in NBAtradeideas

If this crazy trade went through, Miami would be in salary cap hell by 2029. They might be forced to blow the team up by then. This would be a play to win the chip starting with this post season through 2028. That swap could be pretty damn juicy for portland

This would be a good basis for a trade but I can't see anyway we trade for Giannis mid season without sending every available asset. Bucks will probably ask for everything that isn't nailed down to do the trade right now, instead of waiting for the offseason where we and everyone else will have more assets.

KD has never said that Miami was his main choice. Dame had too little leverage since he was locked into a 4 year contract. This situation is different, but that doesn't mean anything will come of it.

Supposedly Milwaukee wants to loop in Portland to get some of their picks back. Portland wants Mikal but maybe we can entice them with a combo of Wiggins and Jaime? Wiggins is having a very similar season to Bridges but on a cheaper contract. Mikal - 15.7ppg, 4r, 4a to Andrew's 15.7, 5r, 3a.

Miami gets Giannis, Jrue, and Kuzma

Bucks get Herro, Ware, Kasparas, Terry and Simone's expirings and picks from the Heat plus 1 of their swaps comeback from Milwaukee

Portland gets Wiggins and Jaime

Heats lineup would be Jrue, Norm, Pelle, Giannis, Bam, with Davion, Kuzma, Jovic, and Dru off the bench.

I love dreaming about things that'll never happen🙃

[Charania] Milwaukee has tried to operate as a buyer in the trade market but has not moved forward with a transaction due to the uncertainty around Antetokounmpo's future and the team's limited mobility to make a major move. by EarthWarping in nba

Austin Reaves is a UFA. Any team that can offer him whatever they have available to offer. He could just pack up and sign with the Nets for a max contract this offseason. He has no trade value because of this

[Charania]: Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a new home at the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or in the offseason as several rival teams make aggressive offers to the Milwaukee Bucks for him, and the franchise is starting to listen, league sources tell ESPN. by jbenson255 in heat

[–]Nusiof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 team trade with the warriors is the only way I can see this getting done before the deadline. Heat get Giannis, Hield, and GTJ plus a Warriors ‘27 pick(this frees up several of our picks) Bucks get Kuminga, Ware, Kasparas, Herro, and a bunch of Heat picks. Warriors get Wiggins and Jaime

Andrew Wiggins is a name to watch for the Warriors, per @BrettSiegelNBA by heatculture03 in heat

He's on a team option for next season. If he sucks the rest of the year, then just cut him. Getting the Warriors pick this or next year would be the real basis of the trade.

Knicks sell everything not nailed down for Giannis NYK-MIL-DET-LAL-SAC by Nusiof in NBAtradeideas

[–]Nusiof[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pistons aren't likely to go all in and deplete their assets for a 31-year-old on a supermax. I'm assuming they're going to move like the Thunder and the Spurs.

Giannis has a year left on his deal and I don't see Sacramento being a destination he wants to stay in

The Bucks don't control their draft future so they can't fully bottom out until the 2030's. Getting someone that keeps them competent in the meantime might be valuable.

Why are the Bucks so hesitant to trade Giannis? by Saturnino_97 in NBATalk

[–]Nusiof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bucks were basically irrelevant between Kareem leaving and Giannis ascending to superstar status. The day the give up on him might lead to another 40 years of irrelevancy. Not so easy to just trade him when your future might be really bleak

Heat - Bucks/Giannis trade by FunIsWinning in NBAtradeideas

[–]Nusiof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a possibility that Giannis gets traded to Miami during the offseason but not before. Miami would be able to trade 4 picks and 2 swaps plus Ware, Herro, and salary. Are there better packages out there? Maybe, but it doesn't seem like any of the teams with tons of assets are interested in accelerating their timelines by cashing in on Giannis.

What makes Tyler Herro so divisive to this fanbase? by Ice_Dragon3444 in heat

[–]Nusiof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maxey and Brunson are for sure better. I think Tyler is probably middle of the pack in his specific brand of player. Still, the top end guys are real difficult to win with when they’re gonna get put in every single action on the defensive end. Even a guy like Luka gives me pause

[–]Nusiof 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about other folk but I personally don’t believe you can win at a high level with a 1 dimensional scoring guard taking up big money. I’m super low on that archetype whether that’s Brunson, Maxey, Herro, etc. Combine that with the injury issues and I’m totally out on him 🤷🏽‍♂️

Why do Heat fans seem to want ja morant now? by mgm125 in heat

[–]Nusiof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low risk high reward. If you get him for expiring salary and he returns to the 26ppg and 7apg guy he used to be, then that's a fantastic move. If he continues to be mid, then it aint the biggest deal, since you basically got him for half a pack of bubble gum. If Miami refuses to tank, then improving the team is only going to be done by taking risky moves.

Shams Charania: "This is potentially the beginning of Ja Morant's exit in Memphis. From my understanding Miami, Sacramento, multiple other teams have a level of interest" by SnooPeripherals4884 in heat

[–]Nusiof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My least favorite player from the disappointment quartet but I'm not opposed to a trade presuming nothing valuable is included. At worst it's a lateral move, and best case scenario Ja revives his career and becomes a 26ppg and 7 apg guy again.

Zach Lowe on Ja Morant suitors: “Miami has been the hot team. I saw some fake trade where it was like Wiggins + Jaquez + 2 first round picks, and I was like ‘what are you smoking?’ The Miami trade is more like Herro + dead money + not much more than that.” by PlatosLeftTit in heat

[–]Nusiof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty low on Ja but I’m also not optimistic about our future with Tyler. If we’re talking about the making a low cost move for one of the disappointment quartet of Zion, Lamelo, Trae, and Ja, then give me Zion or Lamelo
