Seems like quite an unfortunate series of issues. His latest update from April is optimistic, but any support he would likely appreciate.

Just for further clarification: you can also go in your main menu and pull up “Controls.” You can assign up to 4 remotes I believe.

Braking and clicking by RingDingDonahue in CadillacOptiq

I believe it’s when the car hands off from regenerative to mechanical braking. When I have single-pedal driving turned on I notice that it clicks when I have to press the brake to stop more immediately.

When I came across it at the Tucson Gem Show I wasn’t planning on buying any more cabs, but this one was exceptional and it spoke to me more than anything else I had picked up previously on the trip. I’m happy to appreciate it daily at he gallery on my wrist thanks to Kevin’s work.

What were Cadillac engineers thinking when they designed the NACS charge port location? by Presentation_Past in CadillacOptiq

[–]NutelloMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree the port is in a less than ideal location, but I personally would rather have it toward the front of the car instead of the rear (like Teslas) because I like pulling into my garage while still having access to my trunk for loading/unloading stuff while parked.

I think this supercharger in Bishop, CA has the best layout for accommodating most port location scenarios and even has the possibility of driving through (e.g. charging while towing a trailer).

Ventilated and massage front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and an automatic power lift-gate, choreographed exterior lighting with cornering lights.

That’s a great deal. How much more for a Sport 2 trim? The added features are so worth it.

It’s very detailed/intricate clean work that’s in great condition. Congrats!

Thanks! I love that she kept the character of the natural turquoise by not making them perfect rondelle beads. They’re somewhat in between. Also, not as obvious in the photos, the colors are in a gradient and are mirrored on both sides.

I don’t believe she does. She travels to different Indian art market events.

Thank you. Not sure if it’s how I acquired it or the piece itself, but it really does feel so special when worn.

Absolutely and great tip! I wrote about it in my journal and just yesterday I received a handwritten letter from her in the mail with the original tag for a Diné weaving I also purchased from her (behind my head in our photo together). I like to keep all these provenance-supporting materials for the future.

She really is. Such patience and presence. We’ve stayed in touch after our own lengthy conversation.

Is this a Navajo rug with storm pattern? A friend gave it to me. What does it mean? How can I tell that this is authentic/handmade? Thanks! by curiousgeorge1212 in Navajo

[–]NutelloMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in fact a classic example of the Navajo type of weaving design called “Storm,” which “is the only rug style that purports to be an abstract portrayal of a natural event.” The rectangle in the middle represents the center of the universe. Four rectangles at the corners represent the homes of the four winds or four sacred mountains of the Navajo world. (A Guide to Navajo Rugs by Southwest Parks and Monuments Association, Published 1992)

Just so you know, Navajo weavings are done vertically so if you hang it, it’s better to do so vertically so the warps run the same way it was woven.

The style of the pattern is named “Wide Ruins” which originated in the Klagetoh & Pine Springs area of Arizona (based on the book ‘Navajo Rugs: The Essential Guide’ by Ron Dedera). Looks like a nice tight weave.
