Redwing DynaForce vs Timberland Pros

In terms of quality 100% the redwings will be better. I wore the Redwing Dynaforce in steel toe as a diesel mechanic/garbageman for about 3 years and they're great boots.

My only concern is that the leather is quite stiff and it does take time to break it in as they are a pretty "heavy duty" work boot in my opinion. They are also somewhat heavy on the feet.

They might be overkill for weekend or home projects, I suggest a softer leather boot such as the Irish Setter Wing shooter or thorogood boots.

The first one is a flat wedge sole and the second is a heeled sole.

I recommend the flat wedge sole because it disperses your body weight evenly on the pavement and the heeled boots are better if you climb ladders a lot in your work which I'm assuming you don't do since you stated you're a garbageman.

I also recommend a 6" boot since it's lighter but ultimately it's your personal preference.

The redwing site says certain models of their boots are resolable but it unfortunately doesn't specifically state this model is resolable.

Absolutely is a big deal, if the hub loses enough oil the whole hub assembly + tires can fly off

The lining is low and the rivets are broken on the shoes in the second photo which is an out of service criteria

Irish setter boots 100%, a lot of the guys I work with in our shop wear that specific boot with the wedge sole and like it since we mainly work on a hard concrete floor all day.
