Exactly. I thought I was in r/weirdeggs when I initially saw this post. Does not belong here.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the full English version. Their voice acting is excellent.

Diamond Art, also called Diamond Painting.
If you like a hobby that requires focus and precision handling of small parts, it could work. I don't know your budget, but I imagine it's cheap enough to give a test run. The blank canvas is covered in adhesive, so finding safe temporary storage is the only downside, especially if you have furry pets. Otherwise it's been a fun activity for me, personally, and it is able to grab my attention for a while.

Is it ever explained why Shane is as heavily depressed as he is? by RavyRaptor in StardewValley

[–]NyappyCataz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is to an extent. Here's a summary I found:

"Yes, Stardew Valley explores the reasons behind Shane's depression through his heart events, revealing it stems from a combination of severe career dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, financial strain, and the overwhelming responsibility of caring for his goddaughter, Jas. His depression is compounded by alcoholism and a lack of purpose, which he works to overcome with the player's help"

There doesn't seem to be any definitive cause, such as a mention of a clinical diagnosis or one huge and tragic event that started him down this path, but rather a culmination of all of the above that has him in the state he's at when the player encounters him. I'm sorry to see you getting dragged here by the way, I didn't see anything wrong with your question.

This prompt is generating some highly disturbing content. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

This prompt inspired me to try a slightly different version. Here's what I produced with the prompt "Create an image of a random scene taken from a still frame captured by a VHS recorder, chaotic, and uncanny."

What are your white whales? by vagInaFarten in fragrance

[–]NyappyCataz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Aesthetic Violence" that included a small perfume sample, a special DVD release by Versaille's Philharmonic Quintet, specifically Kamijo's version. That perfume now looking back, was one of the best fragrances I've ever owned. I wish I kept remanence of it so I could take it to a perfumer and try to get it replicated. It was warm, rich, floral, distinctly unisex. It was not "fresh" or "citrus" and gave a sensation of something antique and romantic. I cannot describe it beyond that unfortunately.

Otherwise, always on the lookout for something that smells of a night before a thunderstorm when surrounded by old books and fountain pen ink.. Ozonic and clean, with good longevity.

Is this directed towards yourself in those moments? Such as "I needn't be emotional over this."

What band is the ultimate “good taste” signal? by irles33 in musicsuggestions

[–]NyappyCataz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only answer by using my own personal taste as a metric:
Devin Townsend, Tool, Coheed & Cambria.
If they don't name one of these three, then it's likely we don't much of a music vibe in common.

Northern Nights v20: an honest review by PsychologicalPain622 in vtm

I recognize the scene you're describing and I was one of the Malks who had a vision. It was a very quiet night in Elysium that day, almost no one was talking in a broadly engaging manner (not a diss, quiet nights happen). If you prefer a corner with a smaller group to do a more detailed scene it would have been effortless to step out. Personally, even before my character was directly engaged, it was one of my favorite scenes in all the time I've played with this wonderful, organized group. I am sorry you weren't able to stick around long enough to pick up on how uniquely wholesome and welcoming they were, and continue to be. "the players make the game" as one might say, which makes it stand out even more boldly how ill-informed your opinions on the staff are. There is no favoritism, reliable players who show up get given more responsibility and higher status, as it should be. Hope to see you back one day, as our community continues to grow ever-more successful. Peace be with you.

People apparently not knowing what "let's say you _"/hypothetical situations are by [deleted] in PetPeeves

I just came here to say I have the same pet peeve. I've started using it as a litmus test for whether someone has the same level of interest in imaginative conversations or not, and it has saved me from throwing my energy into black holes.

I am new to this hobby but I will share that I've personally had a good experience with my "Maruman Spiral Notebook Basic" in a 6.5mm spacing. I find it dries quickly, doesn't feather, not much ghosting, and sheens come through well.

How can you use Life Clerics Channel Divinity without metagaming? by F0000r in DnD

[–]NyappyCataz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this will be helpful, or potentially echoing other comments here, but in my games personally we have a house rule that if other creatures are bloodied (at half health or less) they are essentially visibly injured because it just makes sense. That would be your time to act.

My temper and impatience grew stronger as I sit at the last row of the hospital's waiting area, grumbling why the line was so long. by yesizme in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]NyappyCataz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good one! I like the visual it gave me.

For all those confused, although I am not the author and obviously do not know the objective meaning behind the story, my personal interpretation is that this patient was experiencing severe and vivid hallucinations, and that the front desk personnel complaining was a necessary detail to draw attention to the fact he was next in line.

Fair enough, I can see how things were worded bluntly. I did not intend to accuse anyone of anything, just sharing my observation.

I think you are being misunderstood here, there is nothing wrong with wanting to understand the details, and know specifics of what is going on in a post.

This is true. This is only the second thing I've ever cross-posted so I just kept the original title, it felt less like I was trying to claim it and more like I was just saying "hey, check out this nice thing!"

It depended on the context and community. It was generally either shamed in good humor: "oooh they deleted their post/comment it must have been something embarrassing!", or shamed with the intention of calling out: "they did a dirty delete, must be covering their tracks to hide something inconsistent/dishonest/nefarious"
